5th Gen Black and White Music

I think the Hiun City theme is alright, kind of jumpy or too fast but I guess it represents the big city.

However I do love the new wild battle music. Sounds more "organic" to me (I'm a musician so that might sound a little weird). I think it fits the flow of the battles more.

I definently won't be turning down my DS volume! :P
 
The new battle theme is fantastic! I like it a lot. The Hiun City theme is also nice. I like the beginning particularly.
 
it definitely reminds me of a port city.
kind of like a friendly pirate crew theme.
@silver25: i to am a musician (first day of band camp was today) and i get what your saying.
 
I have not been impressed or disappointed with any of the music so far. You usually have to experience it with the gameplay to understand it.

Doubt it since it won't be using any old music except for the usual jingles and Pokemon theme. HGSS only had the Gameboy Player for nostalgia reasons, and since this is a new game, they isn't any nostalgia linked with it.

Loving the music so far though, especially the trainer music. So far the soundtrack sounds like a mixture of RSE and DPPt, and even though I thought those two generations had the weakest soundtracks, it sounds really good so far. Can't wait to hear more!
 
for the first time in pokemon i will absolutely have my volume on during the entire game,i love ALL of the music so far, its not the same annoyin remixed stuff we get from gen1-4, its brand new& sounds GREAT!
i just hope they get rid of that loud annoyin "BING!" in the items,& party menus
everytime you hit a button,or move up&down, cuz that crap drives me nuts.

Huinn Citys music definitely made it seem New York-ish, after all NYC is hailed as the city where anything can happen& the city of progress&advancement so its music fits the whole NYC-ness.

the battle themes make me want to play the game right now :laughs:

and the start towns theme is so calm& serene like it should be :D

i am LOVING 5th Gen!
 
i quite like that song... I might download it to my phone later... NEW RINGTONE! YEAH!

Well luckily the sound that plays when you're selecting an attack is different this time, sounds more echoy and epic haha. So maybe the other sounds like that are different too? The fanfare music sounds exactly the same as HGSS though which is a bit annoying; I mean, literally the same music file.
 
The Hiun City theme sounds great! It's quite energetic but at the same time calming.

As for the wild battle theme, it's pretty impressive. It seems they used similar instruments as the R/S/E ones.
 
^I really enjoyed all the music in that video. Seems like for battles they're using the percussive sound of R/S/E for battle themes and the soothing sound of HG/SS for out-of-battle themes. Sounds good to me ;D
 
I like the music. Now it's on par with RSE music, which in my opinion is the best game by far with the game music. I won't be turning down my DS volume for the music in this game!
