Blizzard's next installment is in the airwaves: "Overwatch" is coming soon.

I've heard it's an FPS MOBA. But watching the trailer, it really only looks like a class-based FPS. Very few evidence of a MOBA there (ie. minions, towers, bases, cash-based progressing inventory).

People are calling it a re-imagining of TF2. And I'm inclined to agree. What do you think?

According to the Overwatch website it's a multiplayer First Person shooter. But I can definitely see why one would call it a re-imaginig of TF2. From what I've seen in the trailer it reminded me of that game more then anything else.

Yeah...it screams TF2 to me, but I don't think that's a good thing. TF2 is still fresh to a lot of people and it probably will continue to be fresh as they update it every so often. I think Blizzard is overreaching on this one, but that's my opinion. I have heard about this before, but never saw it displayed before and I am not interested in it at all.

"Did someone call a doctor?" is a fairly common phrase, BUT I swear the Medic in TF2 even says this.

I guess my point is: This feels like a TF2 clone, but I don't think it will come close to the balance of play that TF2 has. I just really need to see more of the game before deciding on it fully.

Looks pretty cool, and it's a shame a class based two-team game will always be called a "TF2 clone". You know, like all FPS were once Doom clones, or just a while ago, any block-based game was a Minecraft clone. Hopefully it'll be able to take off despite that, because it looks pretty significantly different. Tracer looks especially fun to play as.

Thing is that it has an extremely obvious resemblance to team fortress 2 other then the Class based system. Just with more of a Sci Fi tone to it.

How so? It uses guns? Are the maps the same? The classes have the same abilities? Even a similar aesthetic style? The only thing that really looks the same are the engineer characters' machines. TF2 lacks actual special abilities, this game appears to be much more vertically based when compared to TF2, it's got shields, it has more classes, and the classes appear to be exclusive to their respective teams.

And don't tell me "Those're only a few minor changes", because they're not. They have the potential to make the gameplay and strategy involves majorly different from TF2.

As a huge blizzard fan, I saw what they released at Blizzcon last week and yeah, It does look a lot like TF2 in the way games seem to play a well as the class system. The Moba part comes in with how each character plays.

Take the poster girl Tracer for example, Like a Moba character she has 2 standard abilities and an ultimate. (Yes, I know Moba characters usually have 3) Blink, Recall and Pulse Bomb.

Needles to say, As a blizzard fan I am Looking forward to trying this game out, I usually have very good luck getting into Alphas and Betas with them so I'm hoping that will be soon.
