Question: Blog Making

Well, you have to meet some specific criteria if you want to make a blog, DemiKid.

  • Be a tier 2 or higher Community Supporter
  • Have over 5000 posts
  • Be a staff member
  • Be selected by staff
So, from the looks of things, you don't meet them to make a blog, sorry. Also, try using the search function when you're looking for answer before posting. As it's been answered in threads like this. ;D

You mean you can't post blogs unless you're a staff member? That's kinda dumb...but understandable.

*goes off and cries*

So if you're not a Staff member or a tier 2 Pokecommunity supporter then the only way to get blogs is to get 5000 posts? At least lower it, It's going to be tough getting that far.

What I really don't understand is how people have the nerve to complain about the ways of being able to blog when the criteria hasn't even been set in stone. The staff said that they probably will end up lowering the amount of posts one needs to blog as nothing has been completely decided on.

It's also pretty fair. This way, more people are likely to donate which helps the community stay online. The staff (who have probably done more for this forum than the average person who complains about the unfair permissions) get rewarded for their hard work. The active (and presumably veteran) members of PC get some recognition for their honorable feat. I don't understand what isn't fair, honestly.

Yes, you can be envious of what other people have but did it never occur to you that they might deserve those things slightly more than you?

also just to confirm, the 5000 posts thing isn't permanently set.. It could be changed.. It all depends on both demand for blogs and how many users with 5000+ are actually using the blogs.

For your info: 5000 was chosen as the starting point because, well 5000+ posts is a LOT of posts.. and can safely represent a dedicated PC user as well as a user who may just have something to say (which, of course, is the purpose of the blogs)

We want a balance of users able to (and that WANT to) blog with blogs that are both fun and informative to read.

Oh, it's EITHER of those things. Sorry x_x *goes off to post like a madwoman*
