    Hello PokéCommunity,

    My name is Raúl and this is my first time here!

    I was looking for some information and i found this forum, and i thought it was a great place, not only because here's some of the great people i've been watching around the internet when it comes to game making and ROM hacking, but because the community seems like such a nice place.

    Ok, hmm...what can i tell you about me? I guess i'll add the biography and information i put on my profile, since it says pretty much everything general about me. Let's see...

    I'm a painter, cartoonist, singer, actor and designer.

    I basically like arts and whatever is involved with them.

    I've been playing Pokémon since i was 7, back in 1997, and since then it has given me great spare times. It has become a hobby that i enjoy doing whenever i can.

    When it comes to games, i prefer old school, Gold Silver/Crystal games, but i love every new pokémon design that looks professional and creative. I particularly like the old style, i'm guessing because i grew up with it.

    I'm currently developing my own Pokémon game, using devamped sprites from new generation Pokémon, GSC tilesets and lots of Patience to do all that with the invaluable help of Poccil's(?) Pokémon Starter Kit. Haha!

    I'm currently studying design, but i plan a long term career in music, along with graphic arts and acting.

    Hobbies...languages, creating things, music of course, walking, meeting new people and writing on my blog.

    I hope to have fun here and, if i can be any help, please without a doubt contact me!

    Haha, no, not really, why? i'm fluent in english...or at least that's what i want to think until the world collapses and suddenly i'm not bilingual anymore (the hell...)
     
    Hey! Seems we have a lot in common! What kind of music do you play? And what kind of art do you do? And acting? :)
    I'd love to have a look at your game some time if it's opening up to Beta at all?
    And just have to ask, which would your favourite pokemon be? I'd guess you like fire types from your picture and siggy!

    Hey Alex!

    Well, i actually sing all kinds of music as long as i like it, and when it comes to making the music myself, i go for either something electronic, rockish, or just plain strange hahaha!

    In art, when it's not something too serious, i like to draw in a mix of comic and manga. I say this because i really don't know how to categorize my style, it's neither of those two!

    Well, right now i'm on the very early stage of developing, since it's a GSC inspired game, i still have to devamp/replace all the 3rd gen graphics, and stuff like that. Only a couple of maps are done, but as soon as i have something worth posting i will! it would be great to have feedback from you guys!

    And YES! haha i love Fire types. The funny thing is that i actually started with a Chikorita on Silver and a Bulbasaur on Blue, but as i kept playing i developed a great appreciation for Fire types, as well as Ghost types and Psychic. Those are my favorites, without a doubt!

We have the resources you need if you decide to make a game, or maybe rom hack! I'll link both the Game Development section, as well as the Emulation section so you won't get lost. :)

    Funny that you started playing Pokemon two years younger than I did. I started playing when I was 9. High-five for being a fan of the GSC games! I grew up playing them, and I still adore them today. Luckily there are a few members (like me) that still enjoy these games. So you'll fit in just fine with your ongoing interest in Pokemon. :)

    Hey, more people interested in graphic design!
    Well, obligatory advertising of the wonderful Graphics and Photography section! Yes there is mostly tags and icons and stuff, but if you aren't familiar with those sorts of art, you can post a gallery with whatever other stuff you've done and people can comment on your art and give you tips and praise and stuff!

    But yeah, have a wonderful time here at the community, look forward to seeing you around! :D
