Hey everyone! Just figured I would introduce myself since I'm new to the forums ^^ I'm Dreaded_Dhelmise, but you can call me Dread, Dhelmise, etc. :) I'm 21 years old and have been a Pokemon fan for roughly 15 years now! I've been in and out of the franchise, but recently I've dived back into the games and just want to be apart of a friendly community like PokeCommunity! I look forward to hearing from you all and I'm always down for conversation :)​

Welcome to PC! Hang around because there's literally dozens of us Pokemon lovers from all over the world here. I for one am a 21 year old Pokefan as well! 12 years and counting baby. Gen 4 was my jam and I will forever pick Turtwig. How bout you?

& I can see that and it's nice not being the only 21 year old around here! Haha. I started out with Gen III; Sapphire/Mudkip were my favorites for the longest time. I've played all the generations except for the 6th :/ What were your thoughts on SW/SH?

I haven't played Pokemon past Gen 5 sadly, so I'm still not all too familiar with stuff like Fairy types :( SwSh seemed interesting at first, but when I realized how piss poor easy it was to beat I kinda got turned off. This is whyI turn to rom hacks for a bit more of a challenge hehe.

&& I totally get that!! I play ROM hacks too solely for that reason :( I don't think I fainted once while playing through SWSH... which kinda made me sad! I missed the challenge (I remember vividly getting my tail whooped in Sapphire-haha!).

Kids these days will never know the feeling of having an actual wall of a boss battle to try and get past (lookin at you Whitney & Cynthia). I dunno why, but Game Freak seems to be adjusting the difficulty curves of their newer games to appeal to literal toddlers. Hecking 2 year olds can beat the game easy peasy lmao just mash A.

The community is what's solely keeping me glued to this franchise sadly.

I couldn't agree more! I do understand them making it easier since the franchise is based for a younger audience... I just don't remember it being this easy when I was that age, haha.
