I'm not sure if this topic goes into this section. but it's a poll right?, eh? :/

But oh well, The question is which do you prefer?, Books or Movies? uh, why so? XD

As for me, I prefer Books rather than movies, because you can learn much more stuff than watching movies, The lessons are the same but there's something a bit quite different between the two. In books, you can learn new vocabulary words, improve your grammar and pronunciation and most of all It'll take time. much more exciting and interesting yeah?.

I like books the best best I have time to read more and reading is like a movie to me because when I read it is like I am actully there. And you can also like said like the poster above me you can learn more for books than movies and books make you smarter.

Although movies are more entertaining sometimes books have more detail and explains the character more then movies do. Books for me.

This belongs in Other Entertainment, so I'll be moving it there.

Books fill the holes that movies can create. Therefore I prefer books, but there is nothing like sitting down and enjoying a good movie.

In my experience, books have proven to be more detailed and they carry a lot more suspense.
Movies tend to look like an abozzo after you've read the book.

So, in my opinion, books are better than movies. :D

Books. There's no effort to watching a movie; you just sit back and allow it to do your work for you. Whereas with books, your imagination has to get actively involved in the process of reading and so you take a lot more away from them. =)

It really depends on the story itself. Some stories are better as books, others as movies, even others as games of comics.

There are some brilliant movies out there that would bore me to death if I had to read them, while there are movie adaptations of books I wore the covers off of that sucked. So it really just depends on what you start with.

Movies, I don't have the patience for books; though I believe both are essential for self-enrichment.

    Both.

Movies, cause I like the imagination done for me sometimes.

Books, cause I like to imagine sometimes. They also give more details.

    It depends on my mood.

I really prefer books. They're much more detailed, and take more time to read than it takes to watch a movie.
Besides, movies aren't exactly portable. It's not like you can watch a movie in school or in your car or anything.

I prefer books but can't really be bothered with either.
Now, having someone sit with me and tell the story from their head, that's better... So I tend to know more about random things people have done in their lives than fiction.

Besides, movies aren't exactly portable. It's not like you can watch a movie in school or in your car or anything.
You've never heard of portable DVD players, then?

I prefer books. In my opinion, books are better than movies.

Books, definitely. I can't sit still through an entire movie, and it's difficult to stop a movie at a particular part, leave, and then come back a few days later right where you left off. It's also easier to check back and forth to the beginning in a book, to see if you had missed something that was revealed later on in the story.

Plus, books are more portable than movies. I can read at the dinner table and not be as rude as if I was sitting there with a movie going. And I can stop reading at anytime, and be less obvious as to what I'm doing.

It's also easier to make the characters look the way you wish them to as you're reading. I know that I have different ideas as to what some book characters look like compared to how other people see them. That's just something that I prefer.
