Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

    I was gonna make this a length back, but I forgot until that guy posted a thread about playing it on live.

    Do you own it? For what system? Do you play online, if so whats your rank? What gun(s) is your favorite?

    It won a fair few GotY awards, and STILL costs more than World At War in most shops. The storymode was enjoyable and had fresh ideas for a shooter, graphics were nice and the music was acceptable. The characters were likable and there was a great selection of guns.

    atm it's probably my most played on online game. I'm lvl 54, something like 1008 points from 55. My gun(s) of choice are the MP5 - Red dot w/stopping power and bandoleer, RPD - Red dot w/triple frag and juggernaut, g36c - red dot w/bandoleer and stopping power and Uzi w/Stopping power, bandoleer and steady aim.
     
    I own Modern Warfare for the PC and I play it occasionally. I mainly play World at War on the Xbox 360. Haha.
     
    I've just got to 55, not bothering with prestige as I don't want to have to get red tiger for my MP5 again, and I'm stupidly close to getting red stripe for my G36c as well :D

    Thats what I like more bout CoD4 than WaW. There's that incentive to keep aiming for something even when you;re done leveling up. Golden weapons are great. Going for the Uzi first then the SAW or AK47.
     
    It's insane that my local Zellers in selling it for around $80. Guess what? They're selling Halo 3 for $9.99 and there isn't even a special or anything.
     
    I have got it and was addicted to it until I realized how much better Rainbow 6: Vegas 2 was for me. Then World at War came out :/
     
    I'm only a 4th or 5th prestige on CoD4, while on WaW I'm a 10th 65; but I still think CoD4 is the best multiplayer game out there. I'm just hoping that on Modern Warfare 2 they don't put half of the stupid stuff onto it that Treyarch put on WaW.
     
    its the best game ive ever played, i started playing on live 1 week ago, im on lvl 22. i like the martyrdom/sonic boom combo. thanks for refering to me as "that guy"
     
    I don't get why so many people use P90, I've never being a huge fan of it on CoD4.
    I mean, the best SMG imo is the MP5, the uzi is a fair second.

    Do you guys bother with the "<insert gun name> Expert I" challenges?
     
    Level 55, PC version (where there is no prestige mode, though I wouldn't do that anyway).

    My gun would be a red tiger G3 w/launcher (exchanged headshots with a friend, there's no way I'm getting guns properly on my second profile, lol) or gold AK-47 w/ACOG which I haven't got yet.
    The 'noobtube' is surprisingly balanced if you actually go and use it. It's one task to get the upwards aim right and another to actually kill with the small blast radius.

    20 more rounds than a standard magazine with a decent reload speed, good damage, good accuracy, excellent mobility. I'm not a fan of it either but statistically it is the best gun. I've seen the MP5 called the most balanced gun, but the G36c is clearly more deserving of that title.

    I got the gold M1014 and Dragunov, but that was on my old profile. :|
    I don't play the game enough anymore to bother with them now.

    I used to use the nubtube with my g36c, it's so satisfying to pop a camper with one. But I realised that after the two grenades were gone, I had a measly 60 rounds to try and achieve some kill streaks with, so i've switched for bandoleer.
     
    I tend to use C4 usually, which I suppose makes me a player of rare fighting style. It's 90 rounds if you count what's in the magazine, I always find it enough namely because I either die prematurely or swap for whatever is to hand if I am low.
     
    I dont have CoD 4 but i have CoD WaW i might get it if its better that world at war???
     
    I used to like World at War more, but after playing Modern Warfare for a bit I can safely say imho that 4 is better.

    There's less perks and less levels, but you get different camo and attachments for your gun(s) and the maps are a helluva lot better.
