Call of Duty: Black Ops

Just got the map pack. I like all of the maps more than the originals.
My map rankings are:
1.) Kowloon
2.) Discovery
3.) Stadium
4.) Firing Range
5.) Berlin Wall
6.) Nuketown
And the others I don't really care for...

Btw, they should use the zombie maps as multiplayer maps also... And the other way around too... Imagine zombies on nuke town or multiplayer on Kino Der Toten

I'm getting the map pack next weekend when I get my paycheck, so, you can all add me on XBL my gamertag is R3ignlasting

Nuke Town by far is my favorite.

That would be pretty fun imo, well at least multiplayer on Kino Der Toten anyway. I think it could work as the zombie maps are so much bigger than the multiplayer maps, and I think that's what the multiplayer maps lacked.

@Mooments I think the map pack comes out for everyone else a month later, so my biggest guess would be March 1st.

I like all of the new maps, but the one thing I notice with all of them is the amount of people camping. On Kowloon, there are so many little nooks and crannies people can get up into and just camp. On Stadium, there's this balcony in front of a corner building that people are constantly camping in. It gets annoying, but hopefully it's just people not used to the maps.

TO answer that question,If you have the new map pack and look at the Zombie map Ascension,You could see that

Yeah, Kowloon is camp-central (at least on release day it was, it's gotten a bit better.) At first, because the map had so many nooks and crannies as you put it, I disliked it. Now though, I'm definitely getting a lot more comfortable with it, knowing where to look and whatnot. Berlin Wall is definitely my favorite map though, I'm loving all the sniper vantage points.

Got to round 20 with just two people. Could have gotten a lot farther. The new map isn't really made for holding out in one certain area like you can in others.

I want the new zombie and muiltplayer map pack, but they haven't came out for the PS3 yet:(

Do you still gradually unlock the level or is it open?

Because in the video they showed there were people runnin' about all over the place, completely seperate from eachother, almost as if the level was freeroaming.

God I'd love a free-roaming zombie map.

As a zombie level, with the creators of Ascension saying they want to keep the flow of zombies going, and keep the gameplay the same as what people fell in love with in World at War, I'd imagine you'd still have to unlock the place gradually. But I think what they mean by free-roaming is that you can't really hold a place in the level at all, so you have to keep on running around, which I think enhances the difficulty quite a bit. :D It's not like the others where you can hold the Stage/Alley in Kino der Toten or the Pack-A-Punch room in "Five".

Nuke Town by far is my favorite.

Nuketown is everybody's favourite!
It kept showing up in the Map Select, so we played on it 3 times in a row. It came up a 4th time, but then it said NO VOTE ALLOWED. Sadly. Then we were forced to play on Jungle, which is campers heaven.

Also, anybody wanna play with me on the Wii? PM me your ally code.

I personally despise Nuketown. It's a grenadefest and everyone just camps the bedrooms of the house. It's the only map that when I see it's voted, I find another room.

I don't mind Nuketown, but I struggle to do well on it and it annoys me when people vote it (or any map, for that matter) several times in a row. A little variety is way more fun thatn the same map over and over and over and over and over...you get the idea. My favourite map is probably Grid, but Launch, Firing Range and Summit are up there too. I don't know if I'll bother with the map pack when it comes out for PS3. I'm pretty happy with the maps we already have.

Throw in a smoke bomb, and when they can't find the window, throw in a grenade(even though I know you don't like grenades on this map). Then plant a claymore on top of the wooden stairs, as it's hard to see, so you can get a really high kill streak. It never fails. Especially since you can then get dogs.

If anyone is on right now, send me a visitor message with your gamertag and we can play to rack up some XP from the double XP weekend.

Grid and WMD are tied for my favourite map. Launch and Summit are pretty cool as well. Summit is a little unbalanced when you're playing Domination, though. It's too easy to just take B and C and just spawn trap the enemy at A.

I like Nuketown, but I also hate it. I'm really undecided on that one. It's still fun to play, but I keep running into grenades and campers. I didn't know it was possible to camp in Nuketown, but I guess I was wrong. I've been doing pretty good with a shotgun on that map, though.

Fun and easy solution to killing all Nuketown-related rage: Marathon, Lightweight, Sleight of Hand, Silenced SPAS. Yeah, it's actually effective, plus using a shotgun and it working is just kind of hilarious.
