Suggestion: Can we have more events more often? I have ideas?

Well, sometimes, as some may know, PC gets boring after a while. So why don't we have more events? Not every day or week or month, but maybe at least once every two weeks. Here are some ideas:

The Queen's Birthday Event: We could have a Queen's Birthday Event, which includes fun activities and emblems to be rewarded. Hosts and judges included.

Back To School Event: We also could have this event where more activities relating to maths literacy science etc. are involved. Hosts and Judges included.

Fun Fiesta Friday: Every first friday of a month we could have an event which involves activities like face creating, drawing/sketching competitions etc..

So why can't we keep up the fun? Let's get crazy.

Events are meant for special occasions, not every second week. That will make the events become a regular occurrence and not as fun or particularly exciting to look forward to. It is better to keep them only for really special occasions.

And plus users may take offense if we have a Queens B'day event, Elizabeth II is not the only queen you know :/

The thing is, stuff like New Years, Anniversaries, Halloween everyone knows about. Back To School is on a different day for like every country in the world, and I dare you to survey the American population on the Queen's Birthday. I mean, I'm Australian and I can barely remember it. e_e + like gumball said the English don't have the only queen in the world.

Every first Friday makes it less event and more just routine random thing. It would become repetitive and boring after a few :x

I agree with King Gumball, having an event every often would make it boring, thus taking all the fun out of the events. :/

When an event is announced people start getting excited; having one every 2 weeks would just take it all away and would end up getting events cancelled all together.

Some of us have lives off of PC and would like to live them instead of having to host events every two weeks. You don't understand this, but it takes a lot to pull together these events. Every two weeks? No thanks. Having them in their appropriate times is good enough for me. Plus it would get pretty boring and less exciting/fun if they were so common.

I would rather have events on special days because having them every other week or two weeks would get boring and a lot of members would get a whole lot of emblems from it and what everyone else is saying, a lot of people would get excited for having a special event anywise since it'll be on a special day.

Actually, unless I'm mistaken, there have been events more often in the past couple months than at any point before. At least, that's what it feels like, between the first get-together event, and then the Halloween one, and then the New Years one... I'm not much of a fan of participating in them a lot, but there is a point when we have too many things to do and not enough time to do it all in. Plus, people start school at different times, not everyone has the same, uh, ruler, etc. There's a lot of different things that people consider special or important and there are only so many of those that can become a time that we should host events.

Only other one I think is good to do is a another event somewhere in the year because there is 10 months without a event :)

Constant events would grow tiring and people would eventually get disinterested in the constant events. Some people look forward to events, there isn't much to look forward to if it occurs every week, every other week, or once a month. The "special" factor would seem too lose its luster and it would just boring and drab after awhile. Like many other things events are meant to be in moderation.

Honestly I found this year pretty dry anyway.

I would like to see more events, they don't have to be constant, maybe one a month or longer.

You can always check out some of the sections, a lot of moderators like to hold their own section event's, so have a look around if you see any. I remember the anime sections "Run, suicune run" events pretty fun.

Some moderators of different boards put on their own little events every so often, but there won't be more forum wide events, simply because it will get boring and not as exciting if there is one every month celebrating random events in the world.
It was hard enough for me to push for a individual board for the New Years events.

Speaking from what some of the uppers told me, they want to keep the forum events, or Get-Togethers as a scarce thing that you look forward to in the summer or what ever.

If you love a particular board and want to see something based around that board, then talk to the moderator in charge, they might feel the same way.​

Oh dear. Every two weeks you want a scheduled event? That's a lot of events throughout the year, and really contradicts you saying you don't want one every month, since it would have at least one - three events a month. Don't you think that's a lot to have?

One of the things about the events like the New Years Extravaganza, Get-Together, and Halloween Haunt is the fact that they happen only two (now three) times a year. Even with the time between the Get-Together and Halloween Haunt (as well as the time between the Halloween Haunt and New Years Extravaganza) is really a lot to have. While events are nice and bring members of the community together, they're really not something that should be happening every single month on a community-scale. They're something to look forward to, and should be scarce because they tend to get annoying if they stay up for too long or appear to frequently. I mean, I'm one of the main hosts for the New Years Extravaganza and I'm getting really tired of still seeing it there.

I would suggest sending a PM to a member of staff (either the moderator of the forum you think your event suggestion would best fit, or a higher staff member, who will either deal with it directly, or forward it to the appropriate moderator) with your event suggestion in detail. What's it called? What's it about? You know, things like that. While having a huge get-together-like event isn't going to happen because of what others have already stated, there's absolutely no restrictions from putting them in a specific forum. It's a moderator's job to not only moderate their designated forum, but promote it as well. That includes contributing to it by hosting (or allowing) members to host and partake in events under their forums.
