Can you whistle?

I can whistle very loudly and in tune, but it took a long time before I was able to perfect it. Up until age 15 or 16 I did not know how to whistle even slightly and it really angered me because I wanted to know how. I really don't remember how I learned, now that I reflect back on it. I think it just sort of happened one day. Anyway, now I whistle all the time, and I mean all the time. My friends always get annoyed by me because, any time there is music playing, I am always whistling to it. Some people sing in the shower or the car and some others (myself included) whistle like crazy. I must have picked it up from my mother because she does the exact same thing and we usually end up collaborating on whistling songs while in the car. It's definitely an interesting sight. :laugh:
 
I can if my lips aren't dry. I don't do it that often, though XD

I can whistle quite loud, and in a tune.
 
I never knew people couldn't actually whistle. XD; I've been able to whistle for who knows how long. o_o
 
I can whistle a tune and for a good while at that. I love whistling but would like to learn how to do it with your fingers. Get a loud sound out of that. That would be handy for some situations.
 
yea ive been able to whistle since i was 8. it took alot of practice tho.
 
I can't at all. I can only get one tone sometimes... and this is from lots of practice. I dunno, I just couldn't pick it up.
 
Indeed I can!! ^_^ Now I'm trying to teach my pet bird to whistle!!
 
Yes, albeit I first learned to whistle whilst breathing in. Now I can whistle without taking breathing breaks.
 
Not in the slightest. XD I can't even snap my fingers. It's pretty embarrassing, haha.
 
I can whistle pretty well. I guess it comes with practicing and doing it at random when I'm bored.
 
I can: When I was six, I did it just as an accident. Since then I can do it.
 
I can whistle. I can also do that whistle when you stick your fingers in your mouth and it makes a loud, high pitch whistle
 
I can whistle, just not when you put your fingers in your mouth and make that really loud one.
