Yeah, I was wondering, why can't we delete messages anymore? I went to go delete a message, because I needed to update, and I couldn't delete it. So what's up?

Message as in a post? Or as in a PM?
If it's a post then what thread/forum are you trying it in?
Also if you're trying to delete a thread then it won't work, members can't delete threads.

I was trying to delete a post, but someone posted there before me so I could update. I was not trying to delete a PM or a thread. I was trying to delete a post in Game Development. I just did a couple of days ago, too.

You can delete posts in Game Development (because the permissions are set right, as in you can delete posts), as well as other forums.
It's because you're not clicking the delete button.
First click the "Edit" button. Then click the "Delete" button, you'll see "Deletion Options" and under that make sure you click "Delete Message". You should be able to delete posts after clicking that.

ya, thats how you should delete posts. maybe thats what you have been doing wrong don patch. or.....was it someting different?

That message was pointless; as you had no other solution to offer, but simply reiterated Andy's post, it was spam. ^_^; Please don't do it again.

Really, because if you accidentally double post, uh-oh hot dog! Can't delete the extra one! xD
Wrong dawg. :3 Double posts and such are MEANT to be deleted away. Its actually recommended that you edit everything into one post, especially if you bump an existing topic and you get the desired replies.

    Right, this note wasn't needed. > <

The delete button was just gone. It wasn't there. I think someone re-enabled it though, because it is back.

Also, I know how to delete posts. I am not an idiot.

OK, I have been a member here for how long? Oh yeah, a year. I think I should know how to delete messages. I am not lying though. I could not delete my posts a couple of days ago. So, now that I can, can someone close this thread? The problem has been sloved.

Being a member a year doesn't change anything. I've been a member over 3 times as long as you've been a member yet do I do everything just right? Nope.
And the only other reason why you couldn't delete posts is if someone was screwing around with the usergroups (and I find that very unlikely, no one would do it, and because fixing it within 3 hours and not replying to the thread isn't something that happens).
    Since you requested it.
