[Questions] Celestial Storm Delcatty error?

Hi all,

My son and I love to open Pokemon packs together. Yesterday we went through a couple of recent tins that had Celestial Storm packs in them. He got a Delcatty holo, and when I put it in his binder, I realized that there was already a non-holo rare edition of the same card there. I'm reasonably sure that it's not fake since I've only ever bought stock from reputable outlets. I think that it might have come from a pre-release box, but I'm not sure. I've tried Googling it, but can't find any information. Does anyone know what's going on?

Did your son get the Hydro Fury theme deck? From what I'm reading, it looks like a non-holo version of the card was included in that deck.

Thanks for the research, icycatelf! However, my son bought one themed deck at the end of the XY era and was so disappointed in it that he never bought another. The more I think about it, the more confident I become that it came from a pre-release Battle Box. I went to several of the pre-release events for the mid-Sun and Moon releases back in the day, and I now seem to remember getting other cards like this from them. I'm pretty sure that I just sold them off as regular rare bulk at the time.

Did a little more digging and indeed it does seem to have came from the Celestial Storm Build & Battle Box, where it and Metagross were available as non-holos but still printed with the same set number as their holo counterparts.
