Hey guys. I think this challenge is almost a must-win for us and despite the fact that we've got some pokes to use, I still think we're facing a hard road ahead of us. Anyways, the best way to do this is to built better teams, and go in with a better gameplan for victory. I have a bit of experience in OU and the team's got solid input as well, so please post here if you'd like help constructing your team, no one has to do this alone.

One of the main factors we consider is that we know our opponents type, and most of their Pokemon, so when making your team, consider how to counter it. For example, I'm running a ghost squad vs Dragons, my best shot at beating them is to use a core of Jellicent, Cofagrigus and M-Bannette to spread will o wisp and hopefully hold off the assault [unfortunately there's counters to this], while I use scarf froslass and gengar to act as security with fast ice beams and dazzling gleams. Finally I've got rock polish golurk to set up and hopefully sweep the team.

Think of what the opponent's pokemon are good at and their characteristics [types, movesets, etc] and build against it while maximizing your team's potential is the key to victory basically. This thread's for exclusively discussing how to anti team and beat Team 2. Sorry for the tl;dr here.

Oh, and we can also test with each other if anyone wants, just not on PC server in case someone's watching.

According to the OP, although the list hasn't updated, I'll be battling a Milotic. So it'll probably be Zeffy. He has enough pokémon to choose from, so we know what pokémon might be in the team. So far, Giga Drain Accelgor and Freeze Dry Vanilluxe seem like great options right now. I need to take a closer look, but this seems good so far. Also, must we use the pokémon we are representing?

Well Volcarona would be good, if you can set up. Volcarona learns Giga Drain. Also Boufalant gets Sap Sipper, so its a counter to Ludicolo. I havent looked at Alder's team, but thats what I have.

I'd bring Reuniclus. It's a good Pokemon to soak up hits and hit back hard, or just be bulky in general. Bouffalant with an Assault Vest would be a good choice as well. It's going to be hard to find a situation for you to set-up a Quiver Dance with Volcarona, so I myself wouldn't recommend it.

I'm a Patrat, so I get to use Cheren's team. Since, I can use whatever is available to me apparently. I'm thinking of Emboar, Haxorus, and Bouffalant so far. Norman's team options has a more offensive presence, so I'm thinking on going more bulky to counter act that.

I'd have a Will-O-Wisper, for that Pesky Slaking, and give Emboar a Focus Sash.

So, Emboar is relegated to a counter to Slaking then? I guess that's fine. I'm bringing Cinccino for sure, as I need a relatively fast revenge killer. Now, I'm down to two spots left.

Bring Chandelure and Conkeldurr, since both counters Normal, one is immune and the other is strong against it. Watch out for Exploud, when you bring Chandelure.

I don't think Cheren gets those two 'mons, but then again, the rules weren't really clear to me.

Anyways, I definitely would've volunteered for the Patrats if I got online like a half hour earlier. I'd be glad to try and help with team building if it's needed.

I asked the host and he said no, but I actually highly reccomend running passho berry giga drain volc, it could definitely net a surprise sweep.

For Liepard, is SwagPlay banned in OU? Sunny Day is a good idea, but SwagPlay Liepard could be annoying for them.

Right. Now I'm fighting for Bisharp, I need a lot of help building my team because, whilst I can make a core, I can't think of a good strategy. So I'll be using darks against Ice (if the matchups run in order), so here's what I got so far...

    Liepard @ Heat Rock
    Ability: Prankster
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Impish Nature
    - Sunny Day
    - Foul Play
    - Thunder Wave
    - U-turn

Used to set up Sun for my Solar Power Mega-Houndoom. It has Prankster to prioritize this and a heat rock to lengthen it. U-Turn will hopefully be able to pull Liepard out of battle straight into my Houndoom, who can mega evolve and start causing damage. Thunder Wave allows me to slow opponents down (and its priority too) and Foul Play will hurt any pokémon with big attack they have.

    Houndoom @ Houndoominite
    Ability: Early Bird (Solar Power)
    EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
    Hasty Nature
    - Solar Beam
    - Flamethrower
    - Shadow Ball
    - Thunder Fang

So this will be the main power in my team. Especially in the sun. Solar Beam to dent Water/Ice types, Flamethrower (not Fire Blast, I'm all about consistency) to damage every other Ice type, Shadow Ball for coverage in case a Froslass is used and for neutral damage and Thunder Fang, again for Water/Ice types. As long as Sunny Day is active and this is on the field, I should be fine.

Now I really need help with my other four Pokémon. These are the ones I can use:

I'd recomment Assault Vest Intimidate Scrafty. Careful and 252 HP / 252 Atk /4 Def EV spread. Drain Punch, Crunch, Elemental Punch (probably fire in this case) and Fake Out/Zen Headbutt depending on the coverage you need.

That sounds great, actually. Bug Buzz and Giga Drain should deal a ton of damage to most Pokémon.

Bisharp and TTar look like nice choices for the dark squad since they eat up ice types. Also there's a certain EV spread for the passho berry if you control + f it, it might have more use in actual OU but it might not hurt to use anyways.

Found it, thanks! I believe the best way to go would be sending Volcarona as a lead, am I correct? Especially if they use Swampert as a lead because of Stealth Rock. It looks very promising. Actually.

What I'm starting to think will be most troublesome is Tentacruel.

Gonna need some help building my team as well; not exactly a competitive guru, haha, nor am I even an average battler. I'm Gothitelle, facing Shiftry, which is already a terrible match-up for me. :/

It looks to me as if you've only 7 Pokemon available? (Musharna, Gothitelle, Metagross, Sigilyph, Alakazam, Reuniclus, Gallade)

You're opponent has (Mightyena, Absol, Shiftry, Cacturne, Crawdaunt, +1).

I'd say ditch either Musharna or Sigilyph, but that's just me. Musharna's a bit slow and doesn't have much of an offensive presence. But Sigilyph these days is usually run with Cosmic Power and Stored Power, the latter of which can't hit Darks.

All the others I've found can run Signal Beam, Focus Blast, or physical Fighting moves (Gallade/Metagross). Signal Beam should be used in tandem with Focus Blast, and will give you x4 for Shiftry, and 100% accuracy if you're not feeling the 70% accuracy of FB.

Trick room colbur berry reuniclus would be a nasty surprise, only drawback is he'll have to use focus blast and its less-than-desirable accuracy
