Changing the breeding mechanic

If you could make changes the breeding mechanic in Pokemon games, what would you add or change?

I'd make more Pokemon that are completely different species from the parent Pokemon that cannot evolve into it. Kind of like the situation with Manaphy breeding with Ditto and getting a Phione. I've literally always wanted more Pokemon like this where you breed two Pokemon, and don't just get the first stage evolution of said Pokemon you're breeding. Just imagine how cool it'd be to get a Pokemon that's in the family of another Pokemon.

Also, fixing it so Nidorina and Nidoqueen can breed since Game freak still hasn't fixed that after 20 years.

I'd make Wailord and Skitty incompatible

Kind of like the situation with Manaphy breeding with Ditto and getting a Phione.

There are also other Pokémon that are like that. Iirc if you breed an Illumise with a Ditto there's a chance you'll get a Volbeat etc.

the one change i'd make turns out to be already made which is making egg moves significantly easier to get, now. hopefully that remains in future generations, as well.

An item that transfers all the parent's IVs to the offspring if the parent is holding it instead of relying on the Destiny Knot.
