Characters in pokemon!!!!

Okay ive always wondered why cant you be a black character in pokemon!?!!?! they just in last few games allowed you to become a girl since times are changed due to laws so they are allowed to play , so africans cant play cause they are poor? please explain why cant i be a black character ;[!!!!

I think it's because the games are Japanese...and Japanese people are closer to 'white' than 'black'.

However, Japanese people like to make their charictors look 'American' and stuff and give them American-like hair styals and colors....Soo I don't see what would be 'wrong' with having an African-American based charictor. :/


Although, you can't really PLAY as any blond or red haired kids in Pokémon. 0.o; Prehaps they ARE ment to look more 'Japanese'...lol



However, don't lose hope--I heard rumors that geno 5 MAY be AFRICA based. Soo, maybe the playable charictors will be more like...yeah

I think it's maybe because they'd rather use the empty sprites to add more characters, pokémon and/or events. There wasn't any law forcing them to add a girl so "they could play". Not like you aren't legally allowed to play pokémon because you have to pick a white male sprite as your character >_>;
