I think CoroCoro is pretty much redundant now in terms of new information. That would explain why these announcements are set just before CoroCoro usually start to spread online to prevent any leaks. I don't blame them though, so much info got leaked for X/Y and now they probably want to avoid that with Sun & Moon which they're handling well so far.

XY's biggest leaks came out thanks to the game's early (unsanctioned) release in Europe. We would still have gotten XY info from corocoro, just a few days later. I think they want an international way to announce info while creating hype for the reveal ahead of time.

November 18th? That is indeed confirmed as the release date, at least for non-Europe countries. Otherwise, it's November 23rd for those in Europe.

I only just discovered this... the female protagonist's hat apparently looks like a flower. So much for everyone who hated it for being a glove, but I like this feature especially when you remember she also has a flower pattern on her shirt.
