Cheesy thread titles

i dnt think that the title makes much difference tbf. e.g in a trade thread, u dnt look at a title u look at the pokemon in the thread. in other threads u dnt look just at the title, u look at wats in the thread

More annoying that the cheesy titles are when the first part of the opening post relates to the title and not the point of the topic. When I can't figure out what a thread is about because of the cheesy title, I'll hover over it for a brief tooltip that hopefully sheds some insight. But, then in these cases the tooltip is just as unhelpful.

So, then I pass over the thread

To be honest, it's the question itself - rather than the title - that puts me off answering stuff in OVP. Cheesy ones are very hit and miss, but I like that people are at least making the effort to be different. Variety is the spice of life, and all that!

I don't spend time thinking about trying to be "clever" with thread titles. I try to be as straightforward as possible.

I can't stand them. And if I can't figure out exactly what the question in the thread is when I hover, I won't post in them at all. I used to really like them years and years ago but now I like my thread titles to be very straight-forward so I know exactly what to expect.
These are my thoughts on the matter. I don't really care for posting in threads with misleading titles - they're usually fodder threads, anyway.
