Attack Shelly!
You realise that your chances of getting through this fight using conventional methods are slim.
"Sableye! Fury Swipes! On Shelly!" Sableye hesitates for a moment, glancing at you surprised, but obeys the order and vanishes, reapperaring with his claws at Shelly's neck. She also looks surprised, but manages a smile.
"Ooh, looks like the kid has a dark side after all. But this is good, you could indeed become a valuable member of our team some day." You clench your fists.
"This ends here! Do it Sableye!" you look away as Sableye draws back its claws and slashes... but when you look back, you see Shelley still standing, and Sableye Fury Swiping Zangoose, who lept between Sableye and Shelley. Zangoose absorbs the barrage, then falls to the ground and faints. "Aurora Beam!" yells Shelley, returning Zangoose. Sableye barely has time to look around before Sealeo's Aurora Beam hits, sends it tumbling backwards, and it collapses.
Shelly seems to realise the odds are no longer in her favour.
"Aurora Beam!" Sealeo fires it at the ground, causing a dust storm, blinding you. When the dust clears, you see Shelly and Matt each holding onto a Crobat that just arrived.
"Looks like the boss needs us again." says Matt.
"Your lucky day. Don't expect to live if you cross us again." says Shelly. She cackles, and the two disappear into the distance. You make to go after them, but you suddenly realise how exhausted you and your Pokemon are, so you decide against it.
*** Townspeople Found! The people of Littleroot and Oldale Towns were found and recovering at the Petalburg hospital.
You put down the newspaper and get out of bed. You step out into the corridor of the Petalburg hospital, and decide to pass the time by going visiting before you're discharged this afternoon. Who do you want to visit?
Visit May!
You head down the corridor and into May's room to find her reading.
"Sup. Watcha reading?" She shows you the cover, 'The Slowpoke and the Heracross" That reminds you. You take out 'The Hero from the Clouds', the book you found in the secret room of Professor Birch's lab. "Oops... I should probabaly return this..." You look at the cover, to see two amazing-looking Pokemon fighting, one red, one blue. "Uh, after I finish reading it." You open it to the first page and read the summary.
Many years ago, there were two magical kings. Abbot, the ruler of the water, and Marco, the ruler of the land. The Hoenn region, being equally divided between water and land, was shared between Marco and Abbot. But the kings were greedy, and wanted to rule the entire land. Marco created a red orb, and Abbot created a blue one. The orbs enabled them to wake up two ancient slumbering beasts, known as Kyogre and Groudon. The two kings used the power of the Pokemon, in vain attempts to expand the land and the sea, but neither of the Legendary Pokemon could make any progress against the other. War broke out, between the two kingdoms, led by the kings and Kyogre and Groudon. When all was lost, and the Hoenn region looked to be destroyed, a lone man stood up, and with his Pokemon, found and awoke a third Legendary Pokemon. This was the deity of the sky, Rayquaza. Rayquaza descended from the sky, with the man on his back, and calmed the two warring Pokemon. The soldiers and Pokemon threw down their weapons, ending the battle.
"That's an interesting story." says May. "But enough of that. I can leave around about now, and I need to redouble my training for my next encounter with Team Aqua. See ya around."
***
You're standing in the Gym, opposite Norman.
"The citizens of Littleroot and Oldale are singing your praise. You're obviously a skilled trainer, to have made Team Aqua retreat by yourself. But I'm not just gonna hand you the badge. You gotta fight once more for it! We can each use three Pokemon!"
Your Options
-Send out Marshtomp
-Send out Swellow
-Send out Tentacool
-Send out Sableye
-Send out Ralts
Send out Sableye!
You begin the fight with your trickster ghost-Pokemon, Sableye.
"A strategic choice." says Norman, 'But let's see how it fares against Spinda!" He throws his Poke Ball and Spinda emerges.
_______________ Lv28 Spinda
"image removed"
Dizzy Punch
Toxic
Psybeam
Faint Attack
_____________
"THAT thing?" you say incredulously. Spinda is tottering round. It stumbles into a wall, turns around and continues stumbling around, tripping multiple times. You and Sableye laugh, but that immediately halts when Spinda sends a Toxic at Sableye, badly poisoning him. Sableye launches a barrage of Fury Swipes attacks, but Spinda casually spins and tumbles away from every single swipe.
"Spinda..." Spinda sings as it trips to dodge a high swipe from Sableye.
"Looks can be decieving." says Norman. Sableye prepares to launch another attack but then sinks to its knees as the poison starts dealing some real damage.
Your Options
-Use Fury Swipes
-Use Detect
-Use Night Shade
-Use a Soda Pop
-Use a Full Restore and be on the lookout for the next Toxic
-Switch to Swellow. We need speed.
-Switch to Marshtomp. We need bulk.
-Switch to Ralts. We need teleport.
-Switch to Tentacool. We need it's... Tentacool-ness...
Hey guys! This is going to be difficult, so bear with me!
Sableye's Attacks:
Well I'd say this is worthless... Night Shade does no damage to Spinda, Detect is just a waste of time, and Fury swipes... Spinda already dodged Fury swipes, and I think it shall do the same...
Heal!
Soda pop is just a waste of time... and money, Full restore is the best option.
Switch to:
I'd say Swellow is the best option, for its speed, after that Marshtomp...
Switch to Swellow. We need speed!
You return Sableye, and send out Swellow as your second Pokemon.
"Careful Swellow... it's stronger than it looks..."
"Spinny!" says Spinda, before going tumbling into Norman's legs.
"Wing Attack!" you order, and Swellow swoops in and slams Spinda backwards.
"Spinda! Dizzy Punch!" Spina strikes back in kind, walloping Swellow with a glowing white fist. And Swellow begins to fly around, randomly attacking the walls. It's confused. "Your Swellow has the Guts abillity, so poisoning it would only work against me. In this case, confusing would be a much better option. Psybeam!" Spinda fires a purple spiral beam at Swellow, hurting it further. Spinda appears to be on its last legs, but if Swellow tries to attack, it could hurt itself. What will you do?
Your Option
-Risk it! Quick Attack!
-Switch back to Sableye and attack.
-Switch to Marshtomp and attack.
-Switch to Tentacool and attack.
-Switch to Ralts and attack.
-C'mon, snap out of it, Swellow!
