Visit the Mansion!
You decide to give the fancy-looking mansion of the west of town a look. The wide doors are flung open, so you assume that means you come inside.
"W-Wally darling? Is that you?" A middle-aged woman with long brown hair and some very concerned-looking eyes comes running at you. "Oh... you're not my Wally..." Wally... Wally... where have you heard that name recently... Oh yeah! Your first proper trainer battle, against that Ralts kid near Mauville!
"I think I've seen Wally around..." you say.
"Really? Is he safe? Does he look well? How's his asthma? Did he say he was coming home..." Ack! Too many questions!
***
Through chatting with the woman, Wally's mother, you discover that Wally is a very sickly boy who got tired of living a life of pampering and being constantly mothered due to his illnesses. Thus, he got the help of Norman, the local Gym Leader, captured Ralts and set off on a journey. You're sitting at a table drinking tea, and feeling quite sorry for the poor lady. What now?
Your Options
-"So tell me more about Wally..."
-"This Norman person..."
-Leave. There's a Gym Leader to beat down.
