Choose - Your own adventure! [Hoenn]

Cry! Maybe he will feel sorry for you OR it will be really funny.

Bide!
Marshtomp wraps up tight and prepares to take the next attack. Makuhita rushes in with an Arm Thrust, brutally pounding Marshtomp over and over. You see a perfect opportunity to attack, but can't now that you're locked into a Bide. The Arm Thrust keeps coming, pumelling Marshtomp over and over. You look at Marshtomp and realise it's over - Marshtomp is dazed and about to faint. Before it collapses, it gives a battle-cry, glows a blinding white and blasts all the Bide energy directly at Makuhita, striking it in the chest blasting it down into the ground, creating a large crater. Makuhita has fainted, and so has Marshtomp. The battle is a draw.
"Ack... Makuhita, return. Wow little dude, I am impressed that you managed to pull a tie with me. A few poor judgments here and there - but the potential is definitely there, little man. As for the badge..." At that moment there is a massive explosion from outside. The ground shakes and you hear a rumbling from near Steven. A large rock falls from the roof and hits him, knocking him unconscious. Brawly leaps over to him and drags him out of the way, as a boulder drops right where Steven was just sitting. You hear a woman's laugh approach the cavern.
"Ah, so Camerupt's Earthquake worked quite well, no?"

"The name's Courtney, one of the two top dog Admins of Team Magma. And you my friends, are trapped." A dozen Magma Grunts are standing behind Courtney. "If the champion of the Hoenn region is down for the count, then it'll be that much easier for Team Magma's plans. Prepare to finish 'em, Camerupt."

You realise with a flare of anger that this must be another of those experiment evolution Pokemon like Wattson's Manetric.
"Dang... I only had Meditite and Makuhita with me and they're both down for the count... as is Steven... looks like it's up to you, little dude." says Brawly. You look down - you have two remaining Pokemon - Tentacool and Tailow. You back against the wall and hear footsteps outside. Good guys, or lost Magma Grunts trying to find you? What will you do?

Your Options
-Tentacool and Tailow, fight!
-Call out in the direction of the footsteps.
-Tailow, break through the crowd, then flee!
-Hand Steven over.

Ok, I would be stupid as always and say Hand Steven over(also because he didn't lend us his Metagross) but whatever.
I pick Tentacool and Tailow, fight!

Yeah, I think Send Tailow and Tentacool out would be our best bet now... and It ends the Voting...

Please note that from now on, I will be giving tips on voting (as Co-host) to help indesisive people out, and view all the positives/negatives of each choice...

I say HAND STEVEN OVER.

It's not like Brawly can really stop us and besides, if it's going to prevent team magma from killing us then it's a perfect method to continue the game and also you can ask them for permission to join as you capture both the gym leader and steven as well as getting close to their leader, killing him and then leaving team magma in panic as you escape with the two telling them you were just using them to get close to the leader and take him down from the inside. That way you have the two trusting you again and you've done an impressive thing in taking down team magma.
that and i wanna see how joining them turns out.

Hand over Steven. He did not give us Metagross. PAYBACK!

Fight with Tailow and Tentacool!
You decide to resist against Team Magma and send out your two remaining Pokemon.
"Oh really? You plan to fight the odds? You'd make a good member - maybe even rising to the rank of Admin, like myself. But I'm guessing that's probably not going to happen. Earthquake!" Camperupt roars and the cave shakes once more, knocking you and Brawly of your feet and doing some serious damage to Tentacool. However, there is another rumbling and rocks begin tumnlingdown once more, and Courtney quickly calls off the attack. "Looks like it ain't safe to use Earthquake while we're in here... Ember!"
Camerupt shoots fire at Tailow, who swoops and swerves to dodge. Camerupt keeps firing and it seems inevitable that Tailow will eventually be hit. It's putting all its energy into dodging and doesn't have a single opening to strike back. What do you want to do?

Your Options
-Hand over Steven and flee.
-Tentacool, Poison Sting!
-Tentacool, Supersonic!
-Tentacool, Wrap!
-Tailow, take the Ember and Quick Attack back!
-Call out in the direction of the footsteps.

-Dark Pulse94's tips on choosing-

Hi guys, Dark Pulse here!

now, let's look at the options:

-Hand over Steven and Flee-

This seems to be the option of the coward. doing so would give Magma what they want, which is just what happened with Aqua and the Red orb...
But... Tailow is having trouble dodging, and tentacool is hurt, so we might not be able to battle anyway...

-Call out in the direction of the footsteps-

This is really dicing with death. This could be more Team Magma goons, which spells trouble for us, on the other hand. It could be an ally (like another trainer) which will allow us to finish this camerupt off quickly. The third possiblility is it being team Aqua. This would be another chance as Aqua may decide to fight Magma due to the rivalry, or attack you for defying Archie... no matter what, this is purely up to chance...

-Tentacool! Poison Sting!-

Poison sting is the worst option in my opinion (gosh, where's water gun when you need it!?) as it does minimal damage, Poisoning Camerupt may increase damage, but it won't stop Tailow getting hit. I'd advise against this choice...

-Tentacool! Supersonic!-

In my opinion, this is the only viable option for Tentacool, and my recomendation if you don't want to give up or roll the dice with calling for help. If Tentacool confuses Camerupt, Tailow could get the opportunity to attack, so that would be good...
But, Supersonic is unreliable, and could miss entirely, wasting a turn.

-Tentacool! use Wrap!-

Wrap appears a dead end. Camerupt can still use ember while being caught in Tentacools Wrap, which renders this choice redundant...

-Tailow! Take ember like a boss and Quick attack!-

well, Tailow may survive this attack, as Tailow hasn't been damaged yet, and Ember only does neutral damage. (either way, Tailow will hit first)... so this is a possibility, although if Camerupt is confused by Tentacool, Tailow would be able to attack safely...

but... due to it's (assumed) unpopularity, I'm going to dice with death and say call out to the footsteps.

Note - Yeah, Dark Pulse said he'd give tips on chosing from now on, so feel free to check them out if you're having trouble making your choice. :)

Call out to the Foosteps!
You realise that Camerupt is too powerful for Tailow and Tentacool to defeat and your only hope of victory lies with whoever is in the other cavern nearby. So you swallow your pride and shout out.
"Hey! Help! Team Magma are here!" You hear the footsteps accelerate and you realise that the person is following your voice. You don't know exactly how you feel as a figure you recognise bursts into the cavern.

It's Ace, the trainer you met in Slateport City, with a newly-evolved Grovyle. He frowns at you - he obviously hasn't forgotten the whole groping thing yet.
"Ooh, another little rat scurries out of the woodworks." comments Courtney. "Not that'll it'll do you much good." The Magma Grunts cry out and each release a Poochyena and a Numel.

"While they don't look strong individually," says Courtney, "There is certainly strength in numbers!" The entire wave of Numels and Poochyenas leaps at Grovyle and Absol, who start spamming Bullet Seed and Razor Wind in self-defence. Camerupt is still firing at Tailow, leaving Tentacool free. You could use this chance to attack Camerupt, or help free up Absol and Grovyle by attacking the Poochyena or Numel. What do you want to do?

Your Options
-Poison Sting, on Camerupt.
-Supersonic, on Camerupt.
-Wrap, on Camerupt.
-Poison Sting, at Poochyena and Numel.
-Supersonic, at Poochyena and Numel
-Wrap, at Poochyena and Numel

I say Supersonic the Camerupt. If we are lucky it will attack the Poochena and Numel.

Supersonic, on Camerupt!
"Tentacool! Supersonic on Camerupt!" Tentacool fires the attack. It isn't a very accurate attack, and you cross your fingers. Camerupt is preoccupied with Tailow, who it has finally nailed with an Ember attack. Fortunately, the Supersonic hits, and Camerupt starts staggering around drunkenly. Tailow and Tentacool redirect their attacks at the Poochyena and the Numel, and together with Absol and Grovyle successfully eliminate the Grunt's Pokemon. All four Pokemon surround Camerupt as it bursts out of confusion. The Pokemon combine a Wing Attack, Poison Sting, Razor Wind and Bullet Seed, which all slam Camerupt, knocking it out. Courtney and the Grunts return their Pokemon and step back.
"All of you. Leave. Now. Or else" says Ace. It's surprising how he can make such a small amount of words sound so very very frightening.
"Alright, we'll withdraw, you win this round kiddies. You haven't seen the last of us though."
***
Shortly after Team Magma has left, Ace prepares to leave.
"Hey, thanks for the save, Ace." you say.
"I didn't do it for you. I have a score to settle with those Magma losers. Later." And with that, he leaves.
"Huh... wha... are they gone?" mumbles Steven, regaining conciousness. "Looks like you saved my butt, there."
"True, the little dude did." says Brawly, "And for that, you deserve this! The Knuckle Badge!"
***
You follow Steven and Brawly outside, say your goodbyes, heal your Pokemon and second badge in hand, you consider where you could head next.

Your Options
-Head back to Slateport, then north for Lavaridge.
-Head to Petalburg, for the Petalburg Gym.
-Head to Petalburg, for the Rustboro Gym.
-Use TM10 on a Pokemon.

-Dark Pulse94's tips on choosing-

Hi guys, Dark Pulse here, let's take a look at the options...

Lavaridge town
Lavaridge holds Fire-type pokemon, a breeze for Marshtomp... but Lavaridge is very far... this could be a good thing (in the form of being able to catch/train more pokemon) not only that, but we would be backtracking... If we wanted to head to Lavaridge, we should have done so after beating Wattson...

Petalburg
Petalburg Gym is the closest to us, and having Sableye on our team means that their STAB attacks will do no damage to Sableye, so there is no real trouble...

Rustboro
I think Rustboro is the worst possible choice here, as Rock-Types are the Bane of Tailow... but Marshtomp has Double STAB to fight the opponent off, which would be effective, but does Marshtomp really need more trainig?

TM 10
Hidden power is unpredictable, but could be the asset we need against opponents...

no matter what choice we make, we still have the problem of getting across the water...

Let's go to Petalburg. Normal types will be a breeze for Sableye...

Let's finish it off with Petalburg. It will give training to Sableye, which we need. We also might be able to train Tentacool ad Tailow along the way.
