    Falalalala, lalalala!



    Think you've swooned your town greatly with carols, enough? Show your talent and spirit with one of your favorite Christmas songs and shine your way out here for our New Year Extravaganza!

    All entries will be judged by myself (Kaori) and Vendak. We will judge on how well you hit the notes to your chosen song and the spirit put into it.

    The Rules! ♫♪
    • You must post an entry with your singing of one Christmas song or a regular song of your choice. It doesn't have to be the whole version, just a good length to where we can judge your voice properly.
    • All entries should be recorded and uploaded by attaching the file. To do so, click the Go Advanced button in your post and scroll down to where you see a box beneath that says "Attach Files". Then click "Manage Attachments" and attach your clip with one of the valid file extensions given. For a good voice recording program, I would suggest Audacity.
    • Do not record another person's singing off of a website and claiming it as yours. This counts as plagiarizing and you could receive a heavy infraction for doing so.
    • For your song clip, include "This is by...(your username) and the name of the song as well; preferably in the title of the clip's saved file name.
    • Show off your talent and have fun!

    ...and that's basically it!
    Winners get peppermint hot chocolate emblems as rewards, and those who unfortunately didn't have the best vocalizing done, still receive a participation emblem for the high effort and singing put into this event. :)

    Oooh a singing competition I might actually place in on this site x) Oh or even a regular song... hmmm "Do you ever feel like a plastic bag... ♪" I'll just go with carols xD Or submit two and the judges can take their pick
     
    Okay. My friend is coming for the New Year's, and I won't be able to get on until late January 1. So I'm going to post this now...and...yeah. :P
     
    It's me singing good ol' Jingle Bells. It's recorded on my phone since my laptop's mic is dead (that was what that cut wire was! :surprised:), and the phone recorded has a HQ setting, much better than that standard one.

    File works with QuickTime.
     
    I read the first post and would love to make an entry, but there is no finishing date in the first post.

    i could have recorded another without barking dogs interfering at the very end but i don't care i just felt like singing

    this is Regina Spektor's Apres Moi, a capella because i have no intstruments on me s0z
     
    Erm Im sorry to bother you again, but whats the last date of submission?

    Im asking this because Ive caught a cold, it might take a couple of days to recover. Until it passes the only things I can cover are Sepaltura or Slipknot :-p

    Is today the last day of submission?
     
    I'm under the impression from this thread that all of the New Year events end on the 2nd of January. So I suppose that is the final day of submission. I doubt Kaori and myself will need a full day to judge all of the entries, so I will just say I'll accept anything before the 3rd of January and we'll probably announce the results on the 3rd or the final hours of the 2nd.
     
    This is me singing King of Anything acapella. Hope I'm not too late :D

    And...The Results are Here!

    First I want to thank everyone who participated; a lot of the entries were great. :)

    So, here are your winners who gave great spirit and sang their way through this competition!

    The Winners:

    3rd Place: King!    , Cherii
    ...Yes we have a tie for 3rd place! It was hard decision between the two with such cool entries we had to think twice with this one.

    So lets give a round of applause to the winners! :D Thanks for participating guys! If you want to know what we thought about any of your entries, feel free to PM either myself or Vendak and we'll be happy to give you an answer. :) Participation emblems and the winning emblems will be handed out shortly, and once again thanks for participating!
