There is no such thing as a Wish Tag. It's just a rumor someone started to mess around with gulible people.

If you talk to the lady next to the white stone she tells you to use a wish tag to wish on the stone and that she always uses one. :\

You fix it the same way: upgrade your device. There's no point in using an outdated device, anyway. Codes will not be developed for it in future games. It just so happened that the AR v3 upgrade came out during code development for Ruby & Sapphire -- otherwise, you wouldn't find any GSA v1/2 codes for your game! As long as it's the device from Datel (GameShark Advance -- not GameShark SP), then you should upgrade it. In fact, some Pok?mon codes (when used together) have been known to damage the GameShark Advance. Thus, you should upgrade your device.

[Wild Encounter Codes]

If you use theses codes, Nintendo might know that your Pok?mon has been hacked.

If you use these codes, you can also use one Type code. That mean that you can
choose the Pokemon you encounter and its level with the following codes, and
then choose it's gender (or one of this genes) with a Type 6 code of this FAQ.
(You could also use this code with the "Always Shiny" codes).

! Use only ONE of these codes at the same time !
Use only the "New Wild Pokemon Modifier Codes", the "New Level Select Codes" or
the "New Genes Maxed Out Code".
You can also use any Type 6 code if you want.
A Type 6 code is a code with the star, "*", after its name.



To make these codes work, you need a enter them in a new game cheat database :

1 - On the AR screen, select "Management", then "Add/Edit Game",
then "Add New Game".

2 - Enter any name (like "Ruby Wild Pokemon Modifier").

3 - Now choose "Add/Edit Code", select the game you created, and choose
"Add New Code".

4 - Enter "(M)" in the code name, then input one of these Master Codes :

5 - Now enter the "New Wild Pokemon Modifier Codes" you desire.

6 - Once you're set, go back to the AR title screen (press B some times),
then choose "Select Game", and choose the game you created.

7 - Check that the (M) code is ON, and only one of the New Wild Pokemon
Modifier Codes is on, that only one of the New Level Modifier Codes is on,
and that only one Type 6 code is on, then Press start to start the game.


If the (M) code if OFF (it can happen. It's an Action Replay bug...) you'll
have to rename it to anything but "(M)" (or "(m)"). Then set it on manually,
then rename it back to "(M)".

Thanz, Hellish Hades, but how do i upgrade it? Can u upgrade a GSA to an AR? How do u do it?

You use the USB Cable..which you probably don't have since you borrowed it. Just ask your friend for it and say you found some good codes that you wanna use...lying isn't a sin...for me.

You do? Hm...I'm getting everyone mixed up. SOmeone else said they borrowed it...eh whatever.

Just connect the USB Cable to your GS and PC and open up the program that should've come with your GS and umm...I'm not sure how the GS program works but the AR program has a button that says 'Upgrade' in a corner and you just have to click it and if there is a newer version, it's downloaded into yuor GS/AR. So...um...yeah.

Yeah, it only does the most recent version that Datel has put up. And based on what Hades said, it should be fixed.

You have to download the latest version of the PC software, posted here (choose the appropriate country). Then, you can click the upgrade button on the newer software to update the flash memory on the AR.

It won't work if you use the GSA software to upgrade it, since the old program points to gameshark.com, which Datel can't put their software on anymore.

Here are the steps to upgrade your GSA to an AR:
1. Install the latest AR software (3.3 to date) for your pak. If you bought the GSA in the US/Canada, use the US upgrade. If you bought it in Germany, then use the German upgrade, et cetera. Make sure to install the necessary INF file(s) to connect your GSA to the PC.
2. Restart your PC.
3. Put fresh batteries in your GBA.
4. Put your GSA into your GBA (with a game pak in it, as well). Use the USB cable to connect your GSA to your PC.
5. Start the AR PC program. Press the upgrade button if the program doesn't automatically ask you to upgrade your device.
6. Do not touch your GSA, do not disconnect the USB cable. Do not do anything until the program has said that your device is upgraded and your device says that it is no longer communicating with the PC. Do not run any other programs while doing the upgrade.

Make sure you have new batteries in your GSA when upgrading. If the batteries die during the upgrade your pak will turn to rubbish. You will lose any/all codes on the GSA, and they will be replaced with the default ones from the AR program. Note that the old codes will not work on your new AR device. Only Action Replay v3 codes wil work.
