    For those interested I'm sporting my pink & black maid/waitress/whatever costume. (If you want to see how someone wears it well then look here, if not then keep reading. I wish I could look that good.)

    This one was a pain to put on because I'm completely inept and tying the apron behind me into a nice bow. I kept making a big knot out of it. D: I like that it's a one piece outfit though. I think they're better for my figure and it's pretty comfortable all around. I'm glad I picked this one up even though I have almost nothing in the way of accessories that go with it, just the cat ears it came with and some black stockings. I don't think the gloves really fit, but it felt a little bare without something on my arms. I still wish the colors were reversed and it was black with a pink apron. I could work with that better, I think. I didn't really plan ahead when I bought everything I did and now I wish I'd done a more thorough search for gloves and other accessories that might match better. Anyway, I don't know if anyone's reading by this point anyway, so...

    Yeah, not the best outfit I have, but it's not bad either. Definitely need to get a petticoat. It looks so flat without.

    Okay, okay. I guess I've teased enough. If you believe me (and I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't) I promise there's something here you haven't seen before.

    I agree with the petticoat thing. If you could sew one yourself it'd be much cheaper.. but if you can't I'm sure you can find some online stores that sell them.


    Also have you tried Ardene? They have a lot of armwarmers and other accessories. KlickKlak (I think that's how you spell it) is also great, but I dont think they have many branches.. and I'm not sure if you can buy online.


    To be honest, the gloves throw it off for me. It's wayyy too much dark for something that's supposed to be cutesy. It's not bad but I feel like something lighter or (shorter or fingerless gloves maybe) would be a better choice to just wrap this look up. I think even white would work if you're gonna add a couple white bows or something to your shoes.
    I just feel with these dark gloves.. it "sexes" up the outfit.. and I really don't think it's appropriate for daywear or if you're going for a cuter look.

    Also.. I'm curious to see what sort of stockings your wearing with this. I'm sure it'll be super cute.


    Anyways, pardon me for being rude for asking.. but is this for a convention? Or is lolita or maidwear your regular garb? (I'm just curious and I hope you wont get offended if it's your day to day wear as some other people sometimes do..)

    @Kura: This is something I'm only doing for fun, at least right now. No plans for conventions. I've got plans to go to a store in San Francisco (a branch of one of the high end stores in Japan) to get a petticoat and accessories and whatever else I can find. And yeah, the gloves don't work, but eh, it's what I had on hand. I'm actually wearing pink socks with white lace, but obviously they're cut off and you can't see them.

    you are adorableeee i wish you didn't look so "why am i doing this" though. if you were smiling it'd be so much better. :)
