Hello again everyone. I started this challenge a long time ago, but I will be beginning it again as part of a Let's Play. I am resolved to finish it this time.
I will be using Pocket Monsters Green (Japanese version, just for variety) Pokemon Crystal, Emerald, Platinum, and finally Pokemon Black. I can't remember what all I posted before, but I will be recording the majority of the adventure this time, and I will be sticking with Golbat/Crobat.
Here's my final update for my solo run with Ursaring.
Received the boat ticket from Prof Elm after beating the E4.
Took the ship and arrived in Vermillion City.
After digging threw a lot of trash I finally unlocked the way to Lt. Surge.
Received my first Kanto badge with a few Earthquakes.
Took the path North to Saffron City, where I faced Sabrina for my 10th badge.
Heading West, I earned Ericka's badge in Celadon City
I took cycling road South to Fuscia city, where Jasmine handed me my next badge.
Next I passed through Lavender Town, heading back to Saffron so I could head North to Cerulean City.
Found and beat the illiterate Rocket member to a pulp, restoring the Power Plant.
Interrupted Misty's date (oops!) and she basically told me to come to her gym so she could beat me up.
Defeated Misty, and then flew back to Lavender grabbing the radio card.
Flew back to Vermillion, headed East, used the Pokeflute app to wake up the Snorlax xD
Traversed Diglett Cave and went to Pewter City.
Quickly took out Brock's Pokemon for my 13th badge
Travelled South through Pallet, surfed to Cinnabar Island and surfed East to the cave where Blaine was hiding. Earned my 14th badge.
Went back to Cinnabar, proved to Blue that he should face me, and met him at the Viridian City Gym.
Finally I had all 16 badges in my grasp. I was finally able to face Red.
After stocking up on Revives, Max Potions, and Max Repels, I took on Mt. Silver.
I vaguely remembered the way, so I was able to find the lone wolf after a short while. I was shocked that his Pikachu was so strong, so I wandered around the cave, level grinding for a bit. I replaced Faint Attack with Rock Slide, used all my remaining Rare Candies, and gave Tom the Choice Scarf to hold, I was ready. After some intricate switching methods in order to ensure survival, I was on his last two Pokemon when Red made his mistake. His Venasaur used Sludge Bomb, efficiently poisoning Tom. I almost jumped with joy. Tom's Guts kicked in, doubling his power. After that, knocking out Venasaur and Charizard with Rock Slide was a piece of cake (thank god it didn't miss!)
Okay, so now I've got to decide solo challenge to take on next...
The first three episodes of my Solo Challenge are live! In the latest episode, I take on Brock in Pokemon Green with a lv. 17 Zubat. I invite everybody to go check it out.
I'm still working on video processing and such, so expect improvements on video quality. Thanks to anybody who takes a look.
Okay, after a long while of not updating, I completed a Solo challenge with Arcanine in Black.
-Started my journey on the 30th of May, chose Oshawott.
-Received the Trio Badge on 5/31 after leveling Oshawott. As soon as the badge was received I got the ability to trade and traded Oshawott for an Growlithe egg.
-Hatched Growlithe and nicknamed him Sirius, because lord knows Sirius Black is my favorite character of all time. <3
-Received the Basic Badge on 6/1.
-Received the Insect Badge on 6/2.
-Received the Bolt Badge on 6/2.
-Received the Quake Badge on 6/6.
-Received the Jet Badge on 6/6.
-Received the Freeze Badge on 6/6.
-Received the Legend Badge on 6/7.
-Finally got to the E4 only to be stopped by N and Ghetsis.
-And finally, on 6/14, kicked Alder's fiery haired batoot and am done with this challenge.
Final Stats:
Sirius Lv82 @ Lucky Egg
Adamant Male
~Crunch
~Flare Blitz
~Close Combat
~Wild Charge

My next installment will consist of Neville the Gliscor! Be sure to check it out! :D
Done with Feraligatr on SoulSilver, so I'm starting a Crobat run on SoulSilver. I'll fetch the final results for Feraligatr solo when I'm not too lazy :p
This sounds interesting. Solo challenges are my favorite. I did my first one with a Blastoise on Blue version, before Yellow was even released. My toughest so far: solo Yellow with Pikachu. Even completing FireRed with a Beedrill(and again with Rattata, not evolved) was easier than that.
That being said, I'll go for the Ultimate Solo Challenge using Raticate. Starting with FireRed, then Crystal(or possibly SoulSilver. Haven't decided yet). Then Emerald. Finishing up with Platinum. May also do a B/W run at some point. I'm getting Rattata at the start using a ROM editor to make it my starter Pokemon(replacing the fire starter in each version). Other than that, unhacked/unedited ROMs. Should be fun.
-Started the game(Name: Red. Rival: Green.)
-Got my Rattata, beat Squirtle without having to use my lovely potion
-Grabbed second Potion from the nice guy on the first route
-Delivered Oak's Parcel, got Pokedex
-Traveled back to Viridan, catching Pidgey along the way(Fly slave)
-Learned how to catch Pokemon from the creepy coffee addict
-Moved into Viridian Forest, got poisoned first battle. Went back to buy Antidote
-Rattata up to level 13, learned Hyper Fang, defeated first trainer in Brock's Gym
-Went back to Viridian, stomped all over rival with Rattata
-Back to Pewter(again)
-Rattata up to level 14, fought Brock
-Thanks to some REALLY lucky flinches/missed Rock Tombs(and a couple of potions), I now have my first badge
*End Log 1*
*Note: Can't post images yet, though my future log updates will have them(once I hit 15 posts).*

*End Log 2*
Not gonna do a 3rd log. I got off work early, and had a LOT of time to play. End result: FireRed champion has now been beaten. Below are the final(full) stats of my Raticate. I'll be starting on Crystal shortly.
*Update Again*
Finished Crystal. Stats below. :D
*Emerald Update 1*
Oh, dear God. I forgot the first gym had a Nosepass, that ridiculously tough to crack Rock. My Rattata is gonna stay as such until level 27, when he learns Pursuit. Level 27 at the first gym...that's a record for me.
*Emerald Update 2*
Emerald complete. Will be a few days before I start on Platinum, though. Got some stuff to take care of.
I am finally finishing off my Squirtle solo run. I just recently got a DS emulator, and a Diamond and White rom. So I guess I'll start with the first leader in Pokemon Diamond!
Before Roark's Gym:
Wartortle Lv.16 :t008:
Tackle
Bite
Water Gun
Withdraw
After Roark's Gym:
Wartortle Lv.17 :t008:
Tackle
Bite
Water Gun
Withdraw
I would like to try this! I'll do a FireRed run with Squirtle->Wartortle->Blastoise
Since nobody has posted past me i guess i'm supposed to put my update in this post.
Update #1:
Spoiler:
Named myself ……. And my rival RDWSHCT (an acronym for Random Dude With Strange HairCut Thing)
I tried escaping the city, but this Oak guy came and dragged me to his lab where he made me take care of a strange creature thing. I took the Squirtle (which was energetic despite being a Squirtle) and named it Skippy. As I tried to leave the city, the Random Dude With Strange HairCut Thing challenged me to a fight. This Oak family really sucks at leaving me alone. Then, the other Oak dude explained to me how a Pokémon battle works, as if I had no idea. I used my expert skills at spamming Tackle to defeat RDWSHCT. He then ran off in rage. I decided I could finally leave this town and go have an adventure and eat cake (mostly eat cake). While leaving the city, some random guy came to me and gave me a potion. I decided not to drink it, as it could be a drug. And you should never drink stuff a random stranger gives to you. Continuing along the route, Skippy continued to hit strange rat things. It was cool. I went into Viridian City, and somebody said "Hey, I just met you. And this is crazy. So take this parcel to Oak." I felt threatened by the man's speech so I decided to take the parcel to oak. While I was giving him the parcel, RDWSHCT came back in and started yelling. I was then given a magical encyclopedia and told to catch more Pokémon. I decide that would be stupid as Skippy is so awesome and stuff. The old dude wants me to fulfill his dream. RDWSHCT leaves and says he doesn't need my help. I'm glad as I can go along with my awesome Squirtle! I think it is weird so I leave the city (luckily uninterrupted this time). Some old dude then explains how to catch a Pokémon while I pass through Viridian. I don't need any other Pokémon so I ignore him. I then head into Viridian Forest. Someone challenged me to a Pokémon battle but only used String Shot. Is that some sort of mental issue? I went into Pewter City to the gym and won easily. Skippy was like "Squirtle Squirt" and we won.
Skippy – Level 15 Squirtle
-Tackle
-Water Gun
-Bubble
-Withdraw
While leaving this city, an Oak's Aide gave me some shoes. I can't run in my tennis shoes so they help. Luckily, Oak's aide left and didn't bother me anymore. After defeating a few trainers, my Squirtle transformed into a cooler looking turtle thing.
While I and Skippy were going through Mt. Moon, someone yelled about fossils, so Skippy killed his Pokémon and I grabbed a dome fossil and continued on my way to another city. I passed a ninja due who taught Skippy how to Mega Punch people. When we got to Cerulean, we went to the gym. The fight was easy as Skippy Mega Punched Staryu, and Bit Starmie.
Skippy – Level 25 Wartortle
-Mega Punch
-Water Gun
-Bubble
-Bite
I used the Water Pulse TM, forgetting Bubble. I Was walking to see Bill when suddenly a Random Dude With Strange HairCut Thing showed up, so Skippy and I killed his Pokémon. I went north of the city to get an Oddish, since HM's are apparently helpful, but not good on Skippy. Came back into town and went through the robbed house and defeated the Rocket grunt. I used the Dig TM on Skippy. I defeated trainers on route 11 before going to the S.S. Anne. While defeating trainers on the S.S. Anne, Skippy evolved into Blastoise! I continued through the ship with no problem and defeated my rival. I got the Cut HM from the captain and taught it to HMBot1. Because of Dig, I was able to defeat Lt. Surge with no problem.
Skippy – Level 38 Blastoise
-Mega Punch
-Dig
-Water Pulse
-Bite
I went through Diglett Cave to get Flash, caught and released some Pokémon around Pewter City for the Pokedex credit required. After that, I went through Rock Tunnel and route 7 to Celadon City. After getting there, I ran around in grass until a Pidgey spawned, and caught it to be HMBOT2. I defeated team rocket and got the Silph Scope. I spent 80,000 Pokedollars on coins for an ice beam TM. I used the TM to teach Ice Beam to Skippy. The grass gym was no problem because I had Ice Beam (And I'm way overleveled).
Skippy – Level 50 Blastoise
-Ice Beam
-Dig
-Water Pulse
-Bite
I went back to lavender town and defeated all of Team Rocket. I headed south to Fuchsia City. Then I went into the Safari Zone and found the warden's teeth and the HM for surf. I went to the gym in Fuchsia and defeated Koga. I took his Soul! (Badge
Skippy – Level 59 Blastoise
-Ice Beam
-Dig
-Water Pulse
-Bite
I ran through the Silph building 1HKOing pretty much everything. Random Dude With Strange HairCut Thing didn't give me a problem, and neither did Giovanni.
I decide to take a break and sleep before challenging Sabrina
Username: Seraphimon-sama Trainer Name: Takuya Game(s): Raging Crystal, Vicious Red Team: Cyndaquil-Quilava-Typhlosion (Raging Crystal), Charmander-Charmeleon-Charizard (Vicious Red) Will be starting off with Raging Crystal.
EDIT: Since no-one else has posted, I'm not gonna double post and just get straight into this challenge. I swear to Arceus my eyes are going to be really red because of how used I am to Gen III to Gen V.
UPDATE NO.1
Spoiler:
-Set time to NITE 9:00 -Got PokeGear (henceforth abbreviated to PG) and set date to Tuesday (non-daylight saving time) -Randomly agreed to whatever Prof. Elm said (wait a minute. So he wants me to go out into the world at ten years old, against the elements with just a Pokemon by my side all so he can write a fricking paper. You got it Elm) -Chose Cyndaquil as starter (M, Lv.5) NB: Obviously I'm going to choose Cyndaquil. This is, after all, a Cyndaquil-Quilava-Typhlosion Solo Challenge. -Gave Cyndaquil the nickname Agunimon (yes its a Digimon name. Get over it.) -Registered Prof. Elm in the PG -Received Potion from Prof. Elm's Aide -Left New Bark Town (wait why is it called New Bark Town? What happened to the original Bark Town?) -Trained Agunimon up in Route 29 -Agunimon learned Smokescreen -Arrived in Cherrygrove City and obtained Map Card -Received Mystery Egg from Mr. Pokemon (gee he must have been beaten up a lot when he was younger because of his name) -Received Pokedex from Prof. Oak -Got a "urgent" phone call from Prof. Elm (you know the one)
-Was challenged by ??? -Agunimon barely defeated Totodile -??? was defeated
-Told cop in Prof. Elm's Lab that ???'s name was Duskmon (this is the name I always give the rival no matter which rival it is) -Gave Mystery Egg to Prof. Elm -Received 5 Pokeballs from Prof. Elm's Aide -Told Mom I was going on a journey but decided not to let her save my money -Caught Pidgey (F, Lv. 2) -Caught Slavinator the Sentret (F, Lv. 5) -Deposited Slavinator and Pidgey into the PC -Trained up Agunimon in Route 30 NB: My laptop screwed up for a few minutes because of a particular trainer. I am, of course, talking about Youngster Joey and his supposed "top-percentage Rattata. -Agunimon learned Ember -Registered Youngster Joey in the PG (I swear to Arceus if he ever rings me to talk about his Rattata I am going to fricking lose it) -Agunimon digivolved to Quilava -Saved progress for now
Agunimon the Quilava (M) Lv. 14 Tackle, Leer, Smokescreen, Ember
Went into Saffron gym and 1HKOed everything. Skippy enjoyed his lunch.
Skippy – Level 66 Blastoise
-Ice Beam
-Dig
-Water Pulse
-Bite
I flew to Vermillion to get a Bike Voucher, which I exchanged for a Bike! I went to cycling road and defeated all the trainers there. I then fly to Pallet town to begin surfing south to Cinnabar. After making it trough Pokémon mansion, I go to the gym and 1HKO everything there. It's a fire gym, I have a water Pokémon. What do you expect?
Skippy – Level 71 Blastoise
-Ice Beam
-Dig
-Hydro Pump
-Bite
After stomping on Blaine, Bill asked me to go to the Sevii islands with him. I went to the Ember Spa on 1 island and got the HM for Rock Smash, which I taught to HMBOT3. I headed to Mt. Ember and defeated Moltres there (Only not a 1HKO because of endure). After completing the Sevii islands "Side Quest", I head back to Viridian City. I easily defeat the gym, giving me my eighth and final badge. On my road to the indigo plateau, a Random Dude With Strange HairCut Thing challenges me to a battle. I killed all of his Pokémons easily, and laughed because he said I still needed more training. After easily making it through victory road, I do some minor training and decide to use all my rare candies on Skippy.
Skippy's Current Stats
-Level 87 Blastoise
-Health - 262
-Attack - 192
-Defense - 214
-Sp. Attack - 187
-Sp. Defense - 191
-Speed – 206
Moves
-Ice Beam
-Earthquake
-Hydro Pump
-Bite
The elite four was easy. I went through and 1HKOed almost everything. Spending 80,000 pokedollars for ice beam was worth it.
First off, Bob III, you can post attachments with screenshots without having 15 posts. It's what I did(look up a few).
That being said, I got my DS emulator and the Platinum ROM. After getting my starter, I used the Pokesav editor to change my Chimchar to Rattata before doing my first battle with my rival. So, Platinum has officially started. Will also likely be doing a Black run for a FULL Ultimate Solo Challenge. Unfortunately, the speed button actually slows down my emulator(I run it on a laptop, as I haven't been able to save enough to build my own desktop), so my updates will be far slower than flying through the other three games. Same with Black, likely. But it'll get done.
*EDIT*
Minor update for my Platinum run. Since I'm playing through at normal speed, might as well log it.
Spoiler:
-Started my journey
-Name: Frost. Rival: Gavin.
-Went to see Gavin at his house, got run over
-Went up to Gavin's room, received notice of a 10 million Poke fine. Was almost run over.
-Left the house, went up to the route, and watched as that fool tried to cross tall grass.
-Got yelled at by creepy old guy that talks to himself.
-Watched creepy old guy's decision to let two young, reckless brats have a dangerous wild animal get questioned by a cute girl.
-Received my Chimchar, which I immediately hacked into a Rattata(used normal base stats, left IVs/etc. alone. Changed power to Guts).
-Lost first battle, thanks to that annoying Growl lowering my attack to minimum(forgetting, of course, about Tail Whip).
-Ran off to Sandgem Town to thank the professor for the Pokemon.
-Got congratulated for already evolving my starter(I guess changing it did that, apparently. Somehow).
-Received Pokedex(Woohoo!)
-Left the lab to tell my mom about my exciting new journey.
-Received Return TM(used immediately) from the professor.
-Got a tour of Sandgem
-Went back home, informed Mom of my journey, and went back to town.
-Bought 5 Pokeballs, forgetting that I was about to receive 5 of them for free in about 12 seconds.
-Was taught how to catch a Pokemon.
-Received 5 Pokeballs.
-Lamented over the loss of my money.
Hey KoboraX, you have good taste in Pokemon sir, but too many HM Slaves. Rules say three...
Anyway. Update: My LP has reached episode eight! (Plus a bonus episode showcasing an odd glitch in Pokemon Green) In the last episode, a potentially deadly fight against Lt. Surge was different than I remembered it. Check it out on YouTube, and subscribe for an opportunity to influence the fate of my LP for generations to come!
Ok, while I work on my Crobat solo on SoulSilver (and my Meganium solo afterwards), I'm gonna start a Gastrodon solo on Pearl. East Sea since I really hate West Sea's appearance.
