So I guess the question is do you copy others to make freinds...No of course not. The next question is, so you stay the same, nope.

I think that I change but I don't conform, I wouldn't want to be anyone else but me. :\

Of course people will say that they don't conform. Everyone sees what is the most unique in themselves without seeing the same in others. Hence, in our own eyes we're all "non-conformists." besided, as Dakky said, everyone conforms in some way.

Myself, for example. I do fringe sports like urban racing. Most people call me a freak for that. The people I hang out with also enjoy it. I conform, if you will to many different social groups, I watch anime, I'm a Trekkie, a Star Wars fan, an academic, a theatre person, a martial artist, a writer and poet, one of those paramilitary nutjobs you see every now and then... In other words, I conform to many styles, many social cliques and am a part of them all. Yet I, like many people, am too multifaeted to commit myself to a single lifestyle. So I conform, yet I do not in that I am an aggregate of many social styles that are more fringe-based and less accepted by society.

No I don't. I hate conformists. I am what I am, and I wear what I feel like wearing. I like fashionable clothes, and have a unique style, I search everywhere until I find something really unique and cute to wear. Yeah, I do wear a lot of short skirts, I have many of them and tops that are uncommon and nice. During winter, I usually wear different kinds of skarfs, always, I have like 10 of them.
I just like being myself and showing that I'm not copying anyone.

Heck no o_O; I hate conforming...I try to be as different from everyone as humanly possible...it results in problems but hey, I'm not complaining XD

I can't really see this as a concept; most of the people who claim to be non-conformists conform to each other. Think of any way that people rebel against society and you'll see that the act of rebelling is equally as common in any circumstance as the act of not rebelling.
Not most of the time, usually it's just people who's taste just don't happen to match whatever is "in" at the time. There are some that do it to be different or whatever reason, but most of the time you'll find a person being different because it's what they like and not for the sake of being different. If one or more people's taste happen to match each other's and they end up being somewhat the same, it's almost always by pure coincidence.

As for me, I just do what I want I guess. When I put clothes on, yeah I like wearing nice things when I get the chance, there isn't anything wrong with that. With music I try and listen to a wide range of things, not just stick to one certain area. Though I stick to a certain area of music most of the time, I do listen to an odd mix of things. I watch anime, a lot of Sci-Fi, I read manga, I read American comics, books of all types, I like dramas, even some soaps, I like law shows, I'm into a few sports and other things like cooking and reading. That makes me somewhat a part of each and every little group, but that's because my taste match those of a certain set by coincidence and not because I do it to conform or be different. As for when I'm with people, I know the difference from saying my opinion in a respectful manner and coming off like a total jackass.

me, I could care less what ppl do or say...or wear. If Im say and Admin or a mod of a site(yep, 13 sites!), then I will correct ppl, but its not my numbah 1 priority

I have never conform on my life. I am very different than all the people on my school. I don't hera music that they like because I don't like it, I don't wear the same cloths, neither I have the same actitude than them, ect.

I dont really give a Miltank's arse what the other girls do cuz they're liek all luzers!!!111 Even my "friend" is starting to look like one. And all I see girls wearing these days are stuff that shows their cleavage and this hippie stuff that to me makes me feel like the world is going downhill.
The music, rap, r&b and hiphop I really cant stand cuz it's all I hear coming from cell phones during class while I'm trying to concentrate or draw. Give me classic rock, 90's/80's whatever or indie anyday. But what really pissed me off was:
okay, so we were in art class last semester and we had a radio that we got to choose the stations on. So the kids either choose this rock that I think goes by the name of Green Day or whatever they call it or they just choose rap/hiphop/r&b. But one day some SMART girl went over to the radio and switched to the 80's station to one of those girly songs (I believe it was on a cruiseship commercial not long ago) and for a moment, my drenaline sky-rocketted and I had a sudden urge to jump up and dance (cuz you KNOW the 80's music PWNZ anything today
But nooooo, those evil boys had to switch it to rap (if it wasn't for the teacher being there, I would've punched the boys out the window to plunge four stories down onto the track) sorry about that, I have a lot of tolerance but the annoying things pile up.
Clothing again: I'm really unique, half the time you can catch me wearing an old shirt of my deceased grandfather or one of my mother's old gardening shirts. Boy, if I could, I would wear a kimono to school.
That wraps that up

Everyone does comform to somthing people, most people here are big time conformists and they dont even know it. Everyone is labeled like it or not. Im labeled as that Emo kid all the time as a school, just because I conform to alot of those things doesnt mean thats a bad, thing and It doesnt nessiarilly mean thats what I am. Just do what you please, who cares if you conform or not, everyone does, yes including me. Its all that steriotyping that pissess me off. Idiots are lke ooooh you listen to emo! You must cut your wrists right??!!??
