Contests or Gyms?

    Personaly i like contests better now because there more interesting in the anime but i dont like them in the games.....

    Well. I choose Gym Battles. It's more exciting than Contest. Contets are so boring. I don't watch this. I wish they would replace Contest with Pokethlon.
     
    I prefer Gym battles simply because of the concept of battling Pokemon. Also, I know I would just fail at contests.
     
    I prefer Gym battles but it would be good to have contests done in the same way as the Anime in the games, because I like the idea of the contest battles, i.e having some with time limits and points.

    I'd like gyms with double battles as options too.
     
    Well anime contests...I'm not sure. One contest I remember specifically was one of the best fightings scenes EVER. During the Battle Frontier saga. Combusken and Squirtle vs. Absol and Flygon. In fact, I think I liked most of the contest during that season.

    I skip the gym battle episodes ...or just any episodes where the people are just battling. It's so boring to watch. D:

    Contest have the drama, beautiful characters and ..are way more interesting. :] :]

    I'm not suprised. Contest are made for girls. Writers wants girls watching Pokemon for more money. Uch. :( I also skip Contest.
     
    Gyms in pokemon i like action not cute.
     
    If I had to choose, I'd pick Gyms.

    I mean, at least with Gyms, there's not any sex stereotypes going on. With Contests, well, they usually make it out to be that only girly girls/metrosexuals/homosexual guys can participate in them on a regular basis.

    I mean, personally, I think it's insulting to girls (and to a gender-equality-advocator such as myself, it's insulting to me as well) to have it seem that way. I mean, it's bad enough that May and Dawn are treated like any other female is treated in an anime, but to have contests treated in this manner?! ugh.. It's like saying that Women shouldn't read or the only things women are good at are homemaking, making babies, and playing with dollies (These statements are supposed to be a negative, BTW).
     
    The contests are ruining...well have ruined the anime (imo) I liked the intense battles like Misty's Staryu vs Ash's Butterfree, Lt. Surges' Raichu vs Ash's Pikachu, and my favorite....ASH'S CHARIZARD VS BLAINE'S MAGMAR!!!! (I could go on and on about how much I love fire Pokemon...and I remember getting excited about it because Charizard actually fought FOR Ash.)


    I hate the freaking contests with a burning passion.

    Yeah once i saw that episode i started liking contests it was such an epic battle!!!!!!!!!!!

    But only just better than gym battles coz theyre better than in-game contests

    There's nothing stupid about that question. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Have you forgotten that so many epic battles were from contests? Like I said before, Munchlax vs. Octillery, Squirtle + Combusken vs. Flygon + Absol. And of Ash's Sceptile vs. May's Blaziken must have been unbearable for you, wasn't it?
    Recently, some gym battles don't seem that different from Battle Frontier contests...well at least to me. Except for Byron's gym battle. EPICALLY EPIC. I was mainly referring to Fantina...

    I like gym battles better. I'll watch contests but I suck a dressing up my pokemon XD
