Could We Get Another Mod in Game Development?

In Game Development, it seems that half the time, Avatar isn't on. I think we need another Mod in Game Development (a lot of spam is posted there.)

Avatar has done a sufficient job in modding up until now, judging from his previous posts; besides, Game Development isn't a relatively large forum, although I can't say the same for the amount of activity. ^_^;

Avatar does an excellent job in modding Game Development, I've even lurked in that section once in a while to know that. Also, I know from a fact that he is online quite a lot everyday (though normal members wouldn't know, he's currently on invisible mode) and I'm sure if he is in need of any assistance in moderating that section of PC he would atleast take that up with the higher staff.

The only reason why I asked this is because lately there has been a lot of spam floating around and he has done nothing about it.

I kind of feel that you're only asking for a new mod because you think by asking you'll become a mod there.

No, I don't really want to be a mod. I don't the burden of it. Look in the Game Dev. foums. There is a lot of SPAM there. I would gladly nominate Datriot or Krazy Meerkat as a mod.

I don't believe Avatar is the kind of person who would actually leave masses of spam lying around, nor would he be still be a moderator if he were to do that. He attends to each problem whenever he can, just like a normal moderator should. And as I've said, I'm sure if he is in need of any assistance in moderating that section of PC he would atleast bring the matter up with the Higher Staff. But judging from how he fares around modding that section and recent situations that has been handled, it doesn't seem like he needs any assistance at all.

If this is simply for the sake of a particular spam that's been bothering you, report it. Remember moderators aren't expected to rush in there a minute after; it might take a while, after all, so be patient next time. ^_~ Avatar would've said so if he needed help.

Yesterday, for a couple hours, someone by the name of "asia" was posting a lot of spam. It wasn't until today were the threads were closed. Oh, and I did report it. Multiple times.

I don't really want this to become a flame war. I was just explaining the cause of this, and the solution. So, if you think that Avatar is a fine mod, that is great. I think that too. I just think he may need a little help every once in a while. So let's just drop it, and move on.

But ever considered taking Timezones into account? There shall be times when a moderator of a specific section is not on and somebody spams. That doesn't instantly scream 'another mod in that section is needed'. Mods are not promoted to watch over their sections 24/7 for any rule-breakers. Remember, Moderators are also human. And Avatar has been perfectly active lately in moderating Game Development.

We understand you're not trying to provoke a flame war and appreciate your concern. As I stated, it is up to the higher staff/avatar if they wish to introduce a new mod and such. Thank you very much, though, and I apologize for any wrong interpretations. ^_^;
