Create an Ability!

Name: Equilibrium

Effect: If the opponent has any increase to their attack stats when the poke'mon is sent out, the poke'mon will gain +1 to Defense and Special defense.

I can imagine computer-esque poke'mon getting this, like Porygon/2/Z, Magnemite/ton/zone, and Beldum/Metang/Metagross
 
Not very original, but here:

Sound Waves
Decreases the Defense and Special Defense of any adjacent foes when the Pokémon with this ability is being sent out.

Something like Intimidate except it works for the Defenses, just a small thing I wanted to post before I can think of something more original.

Spikes Launcher
Sends out a layer of spikes when the user is sent out.

I don't think anyone has ever thought of this, may be a bit more creative.

Speaking of abilities that throw out entry hazards - I WISH they'd make something like this.


Return Policy - When this Pokemon enters play, all changes to its own and its opponents sides of the field are switched.

Can you imagine how hilarious that would be just to throw out on some tryhard putting up every entry hazard at once. Annnnd, *boom*. Keep 'em. They're yours now.
 
Just thought of couple of other ideas, so I thought I should share!

First up, is Auto Stealth. This ability would be exclusive to rock-types only, such as Gigalith, as well as some ground. With it, you're able to set Stealth Rock up automatically as soon as the Pokémon gets sent out on the field, but only difference between this and real one is, with former, these rocks are weaker--causing slightly less damage--and last only about five turns. If you switch out and back in, then the effect would be reset.

Another one is Heal Charm. With this, you're able to cure your Pokémon of any status effect randomly, whether it be in-battle or out. If it's former, then you would be recovering depending on turns and whatnot. If it's latter, then that would count on how many steps you take.
 
Trail Rations: Allows the pokemon to hold a berry in addition to its held item

I don't really know how that would work in game tbh. give it an item and a seperate berry slot?
 
Magic Absorb: Fairy type moves restore HP.

Heroism: Dragon type moves raise attack.

Attachment: When an opponent switches out, this Pokemon's special attack increases.

Color Lock: All abilities that change the types of moves are negated while this Pokemon is in battle.
 
Sniper: Boost accuracy in 50% when his health is under 30%

Swordsman: Boost moves like slash, leaf blade, night slash. etc. in 20%


Sniper is actually already an ability :p maybe marksman?

I like the swordsman one btw.
 
Lead Foot:
All Kicking moves get a 20% increase in power and their accuracy are increased by 5%

Maybe with this we'll get some new kick moves.

I've got a couple as well:

Cheater
Effect: This Pokemon steals the opponent's stat changes.

Dexterity
Effect: If an opponent uses a move that can lower this Pokemon's stats, it actually raises the stat.

Cunning
Effect: This Pokemon ignores the negative effects on stats from status conditions (ex. the attack drop from burn, the speed drop from paralysis, etc.)

Luminous
Effect: This Pokemon lowers the opponent's accuracy by one stage when switched in.

Willpower
Effect: This Pokemon's special attack is boosted when it reaches 1/3 HP. The effect will disappear if it is healed above 1/3 HP.
 
Pyromaniac
All fire type moves used by this poke'mon deal increased damage, and receive a higher burn chance.

Frostbite
All ice type moves used by this poke'mon deal increased damage, and receive a higher freeze chance.

Wattage
All electric type moves used by this poke'mon deal increased damage, and receive a higher paralyzation chance.

Miasma
All poison type moves used by this poke'mon deal increased damage, and receive a higher poison chance.

Naturalist
This poke'mon will use 'natural' items more effectively. (e.g. sitrus berries heal more, berries that increase stats will sharply increase them, herbs can be used twice)
 
Corporeal Tag:

All moves work like Pursuit with this ability. (You or the opponent try to switch out and get hit for double damage before the switch is made) Doesn't work for the charge up turn of moves like Skull Bash.
 
Iron Dino

This ability is exclusive fir the Aron stage.

Whenever the user uses a recoil move, not only does the user not take any damage, but the move gets a 100% bonus. Also, when the foe uses a recoil move, the user is immune to the attack. And if the user is flinched, the speed is increased by two stages.

Wish Maker(Jirachi)
Casts the wish move when jirachi enters the battle

Phoenix Down(Moltres)
Casts recover when moltres' hp goes red

Hibernate(Ursaring or Beartic)
Casts rest when hail happens

Wish Maker would be quite a useful ability for Pokémon that are loaded with health, such as Chansey and Blissey. Some could say that they would wind up to be sort of over-powered, but I personally can't imagine it; they already have access to wish, so regardless if they have this ability or not, they would still be more or less the same. Only thing different is that they get to use Wish as soon as they enter battle.

Phoenix Down sounds pretty good, too! It'd be good if some other Pokémon could have it alongside, though, such as Talonflame and Pidgeot. Making it exclusive to Moltres puts a little too much emphasis on it, I believe.

Yeah i think phoenix puts a little emphasis on moltres but I think it could compensate on the fact that moltres doesnt have a signature move but it could also work well with hooh or talonflame :)

I thought up an ability VERY similar to this, but it was called Kickboxer &
inculded other feet based moves, like Stomp.

Pyromaniac

Maybe you could rename it Iron Dino, since the Aron line look like dinosaurs?

That sounds nice! Though, only thing I'm sort of concerned about is its exclusivity to Aron family; is it really necessary? Can't any other dinosaur Pokémon have it as well? I understand that Aron line lacks in popularity, in which this could come to lend a hand, but some people, including, would think that unless it's legendary, it's kind of a waste to make an ability available to only just a single Pokémon.
 
Dark Matter:
All Dark type moves become draining moves, draining 50% of the damage dealt. Would work well since most common Dark type moves are 80 power or less.
