Suggestion: Creating fakemon?

I had this idea where maybe we could, as a site, create some fakemon. I mean like start with a few descriptions of what we want the pokemon to be like, then have people submit art for the pokemon, come up with an ability, and then create a pokedex entry for it. I think it would be cool and bring the site together because we have the artists with the drawing, writers with the pokedex entries and general fans of pokemon to help with what direction we want to go with and to vote on different aspects.

I know Smogon has a very popular edition of this, but since they do a lot of competitive battling on their site they have the resources to actually implement their fakemon into their battle simulator. Since we can't do something like that here maybe just have a fakemon-dex or something. Just something that popped into my head, let me know what you think.

That's a fantastic idea. We could have a voting poll, emblems, and everything. However, art theft is rampant so I'd suggest enforcing a rule that everyone puts a watermark in one or multiple places on the Pokemon. But yeah, I'd back this up 110%!

EDIT: Oh yay, there already is a project! I just wish there were more drawings as opposed to pixel art but still good.
