Here is where you can discuss the final migration of Jessie's Dustox in "Crossing Paths."

    My review to come forthwith.

To follow up my note from last week's episode discussion: I decided to allow both Reyna and Jorah to post official episode discussions, in case I have a prolonged absence. On the plus side, my life will become less crazy soon, so I should be around.

And now, back to your regularly scheduled programming, and this all will be edited out later.

I thought this episode was still a pretty good episode of the release Dustox and Jessie's flashbacks. Review time! ^^

    - Those berries looked good when James and Meowth picked those berries ^^
    - Jessie needs a new pokemon now.
    - I laughed when Brock got Poision Jab again while Nurse Joy was talking XD
    - Theres always strong storms in the Pokemon World 0_o
    - Pokemon Movie 9 opening music in this episode ^^

I give this episode a 8/10 It was more epic when it was in Jap.

Out of all of the episodes, this has to be one of my favorites.

o1. I love how emotional things got for Jessie. She's actually a lot deeper than I thought she was. She cared for Dustox a lot, but she didn't want Dustox to make the same mistake she did when she was little. The flashbacks of her childhood were a nice touch, especially Austin making a second entrance in her life.
o2. Some funny parts made me laugh. I totally laughed at Croagunk when he Poison Jab'd Brock during Nurse Joy's speech. I laughed again when all the cute and little Pokemon were carrying small pebbles to dam up the lake, and Happiny pops in carrying this huge gigantic boulder with one hand.
o3. Again, I loved how emotional things got. Dustox had to go with her true love over Mt.Coronet but was hesitating to leave Jessie. Jessie insisted on letting Dustox go, and even crushed her PokeBall. Then came her flashbacks when Dustox was still a Wurmple and Cascoon. Yeah, that was really heartbreaking.
o4. I wonder which Pokemon will be Dustox's replacement.
o5. Austin doesn't even recognize Jessie. Jessie didn't even bring the subject up. I found that a little awkward and wierd.

    9.5/10~

Not out on YouTube yet, but apparently only 2 pieces were left and they had no vocal song when Dustox left? (Japanese used "Kaze to Issho ni" "Together with the Wind". Thing is, I'm sure there's an English version of that song). I don't like that song at all, but I thought it was very fitting in that scene.

Gah, why oh why did I decide to watch that clip in Japanese? Mabe ignorance is bliss...

    Edit: review added!

    - Piplup and Pikachu singing! Aww
    - Silence especially for them singing! Haha
    - Shiny Dustox!
    - Aww poor Jessie failing...I know how that feels gah
    - Brock's dance was weird
    - WHOA! Quick recovery from Croagunk, Brock!
    - LOL Brock killed in the background XD I thought it was funny how he was sliding in
    - LOL the boy changing into Wobbuffet
    - Meowth: Aww man, Jessie...
OMG...Meowth sounded so, so cute there it's unbelievable! I have to listen again...AWWWWWWW! And when he said "hmm!". Too cute!
    - lol Mime Jr copying James being killed, seriously, how long has it been since Mime Jr did anything?
    - like the Movie 9 music "As long as I can hold my breath"
    - Um, it's not very sad when Jessie drops the Pokeball and a flaming car speeds accross the screen to advertise Ben-bloody-10. My brother watches it. I hate it. It's like everywhere...
    - WHOA this is the end already!? It seemed to go by so much quicker than last weeks boring episode

    Quote:

Jessie: Is that the sound of twerpdom I hear?
James: Hard to tell, there's a rock in my ear!

    LOL really random

REALLY good episode! Although I completly didn't recognise the departure scene without Kaze to Issho ni

-OMG A Shiny Dustox! (Rare) O.O
    -WTH is up with Brock?!
    -With all those Poison Jabs to the Butt and Stomach you would think Brock wouldn't be able to walk again o.o;
-I had to seriously LOL when Brock tried to hit on Nurse Joy when she was talking then Crogrunk pwned him lol.
-Brock was sooooo Weird in this episode!
    -How so?
-Brock's like that in Episode with a Pretty girl
-Like duh, its been that way since Season 1 and its still funny til this day
    -Dustox!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!
    -Poor Jessie :(
-I feel bad for Jessie too, she been through alot with Dustox, in fact it was because of Dustox that she was able to win her very first ribbon. *cries now*
-Oh well we have older episode memories of it, to ease the pain. :(
    -Austin doesn't look all that different from Jessie's flashback! o.0;
-Austin is kinda cute, I can understand Jessie falling for him
-This episode is ever more dramtic then when Butterfree left.
-Jessie crushing Dustox's poke'ball was pure greatness for this anime, that showed how much Jessie loved Dustox and wants its happiness
    -Goodbye Dustox! We'll miss you!!!!!
-Wasn't that girl with green hair in Jessie's flashback, a member of Team Rocket? She was in that episode Do's and Don'ts in Johto

Episode Rating: 9/10 *Is crying* :(

Amazing that a tree can get a vocal song, and not three of the longest lasting Rocket Pokemon (or didn't Cacnea get a song?). Bah, silly producers.

Indeed. Which is more jarring: more Ben 10 promotion or CN interrupting the episode with a tactless promo? You make the call!

Tactless promo. I think I be happier if there wasn't a bar taking up half of the screen advertising a show that has been advertise too much.

Okies. First thing first. I really felt that this episode would have been much better with less twerp screen time. I mean maybe they could have a purpose but really it felt like everytime they were on the screen that they just were there. They did nothing to make the episode better or did much of anything. I mean maybe they were needed for that whole water and ice thing with the rocks but really. Su. It felt like they just did that to do it. Clearly this was a much needed and much focus Team Rocket episode. I mean then what the twerps did after Jessie did that whole dramatic pokeball smashing thing. They just show no reaction to that. Not coolies. SU!!!

Overall this was a great episode. It felt like watching an old episode when they dropped pieces of Jessie's past in it. Very coolies. I so felt like crying during the episode with what was happening. I felt sad for Jessie. I felt sad for Dustox. I just felt like this was just something coolies.

Parts that I would change. Have less of the twerps in it. SU!!! I think that it was so cute having Pikachu and Piplup singing but really after that. Not so great. This episode should have been something like Pouched Ego. Teeheehee Still it was a coolies episode still.

Cacnea didn't get a vocal song but she got the BGM version of Make a Wish - Chiisaki Mono ~ Komomori Uta, which was kept in the dub. The same music when May left...except it wasn't kept in for the dub that time.

I don't remember the tree having a song in the dub Treeko episode? But I still like reading the review for the "trees die, people go to the Shadow Realm" comment XD

    Poor Jessie, first the rejection, now bye bye Dustox. ;;

In summary of the ending, I was like "Wurmple flashback, nuuuuuu ;;;;;;;" Brock made me laugh, hard. Right when Nurse Joy is explaining the path across, and he makes that face right next to her, hahaha. Overall, great episode, liked seeing the baby Pocket Monsters get some action. XD Happiny throwing the large boulder, and the fact I love any Mime Jr scene, because he's just that awesome. A sad, yet happy episode. Bye bye memories of Wurmple & such and hello for Dustux to have fun in fields in joy. XD Oh, and anyway, looking forward to Jessie's next Pocket Monster, as FruitBoy mentioned. One goes, another must replace. Hopefully it's a good one. :D

    Sad, but nice episode.

Oh I so agree with BeachBoy!!!! I just loved seeing Happiny and Mime Jr!!! Happiny was so coolies and then it was so funny to see Mime Jr. mimicing Bunery!!! SO CUTE!!!!!

It was so nice to see that a Rocket Pokemon got a nice send off. It is so sad!!! Su!!!

Well, Make A Wish is awesome, so I guess I shouldn't complain.

Don't worry; I think people forgot about that, too. Or, y'know, we would have remembered if 4Kids did a tree song in lieu of it. Think how it would go. Heh.

I wish I was in the Shadow Realm. Oh, wait, then I'd be dead. Hehe.

This episode was totally ruined when they edited out the japanese music like that. it felt really cheap.

Not only didnt they keep the jap. vocal song, they also replaced an awesome bgm from the fifth movie - when the dustox'es removed the water with confusion and whirlwind.

Sadly, episodes in the future will keep on being ruined because of the producers hate for original music.

It was a great moment when brock crept up on Nurse Joy at the Pokemon Center. Kinda freaked me out. lol
Also, I'm not quite sure what Pokeballs are made of, but I don't think you should be able to smash one to pieces with your foot. :\
A pretty good episode overall though.

    8/10

Well the thing is that we know that if you drop a pokeball hard enough on a rock then they can crack and get broken. I think they did a fillar episode during the Orange Island with Snorlax.

Well the thing is that we know that if you drop a pokeball hard enough on a rock then they can crack and get broken. I think they did a fillar episode during the Orange Island with Snorlax.

There's also the flash back where Ash & Gary are fighting over a Pokeball they both find in a creek, and then end up snapping it in half.

It would just make sense that they were made out of a material that wouldn't break unless under extreme pressure. They do house & protect Pokemon after all.

But I think I'm putting to much thought into this, it is an anime after all.:P

Honestly, when I saw the preview for this episode, I was a bit let down by the fact that she let Dustox go. She's screwed enough for contests as is; why add salt to a wound?

Regardless, it reeks heavily of an excuse to recycle an old episode to make Jessie ditch Dustox. Does anyone remember the circumstances on which Ash released Butterfree? D=

Regardless, I like her better without Dustox. I'll say that without spoiling anything.
Just know anime fans who don't peep for spoilers will be pleased, especially if they play the games from a competitive standpoint. =D

Oh my god. I woke up early today, so I figured I'd get up and watch Pokemon. And although I just missed half of it, I still saw the ending of this!! And it was not what I've seen of this series so far!; it was so awesomely emotional!!

I loved how we got to see more of Jessie's character while James and Meowth took a slight backseat, although they did have some funny lines.

The flashbacks of her childhood were a nice touch, especially Austin making a second entrance in her life.

That guy wasn't Austin, thats why they didn't know each other, Jessie says "They are like twins" when she sees the Dustox kid and the guy from her past in her head.

    +
-I love episodes where they all work together
-James and Meowth being sweet to Jessie and giving her time rather than moan
-The contest training was so sweet, even if it was all for nothing
    -Brock and Croagunk, Always funny
-The singing was cute, even if it went on a bit

    -
-Where did Dustox's ribbons come from?
-I'm slightly annoyed there was no reference to Butterfree from Ash or Brock
-Nurse Joy's role seemed highly useless, she seemed only there for Brock's drooling
-The Whirlwind/Confusion water thing seemed weird, Confusion itself could of lifted and moved the water?

    Other points
    -Dustox's leaving and the flashbacks, really tug on your heartstrings, makes me forget its a kids show (didn't help I had watched "Gotta Catch You Later" just before ;__;
-Did I hear wurmple in the flashback or was that me?
