Curse Words In Gen 6

You will need to play as a spanish person from the language setup, or get a spanish copy of a 6th gen game. You have to replace certain letters with accented letters for it to work. Not caught by pokemon yet. Spanish isn't hard to read.

Ah, cuss words... why did they even put the censor in anyway? People are going to name their Pokemon unsavory things sometimes and they will find ways around it no matter what. They even accidentally censored the name of an actual Pokemon (Cofagrigus if you're wondering) because it has a cuss word in it unintentionally.

I never knew about this either, but then again I've never played the game in Spanish so I guess that sorta figures. At what point in the game does this happen? And are you saying these swear words are in Spanish, or are they Spanish words that look like English swear words? Not sure I understand ~_~

Re-reading mew_nani's post, I think I see what you're saying now. You can use accented characters available in a Spanish language version of the game to enter English swear words, basically? Yea, that's something of an oversight on the part of the developers. But...if someone wants to enter swear words into their game that badly that they're willing to play in Spanish just for the accented characters, I'm almost tempted to say just let them have their fun xD

And then there was a problem when I found that one of the Super Secret Bases having the troublesome words in the blackboard of the room (or even on the greetings, if much worse), and I don't think it's a good thing at all. In fact, I was having 2 case of it in my Alpha Sapphire several months ago (and I deleted them), if profanity-nicknamed hacked Pokémon in GTS is not enough.

Sometimes I wish Pokémon will put a better swearing filter so that they can block the swear words easily (including those who wants to bypass it with hacks or letters with accent), but also can give regular names to many Pokémon without fear of them getting blocked (I'm looking at you, Spike and Viola).

EDIT: Or... maybe if it's possible, maybe they could make it so the swear filter can be turned on when you're battling with friends, trading Pokémon (the part where if it detect swear words, it won't let you trade in everywhere, including the GTS, even though I hope no false alarms like what I mentioned above), and removing the swear words in Super Secret Bases, to make sure it's safe for everyone who play the game.
