During the start of the 4th Gen we were introduced to more specific types of POKeBALLS as opposed to the scarce BALLS found in 2nd GEN GSC. Some of the balls help amazingly, some do not. Of those custom BALLS which are your favorites and why?

Examples include: QUICK BALL, DUSK BALL, NET BALL etc...

Note: This thread excludes Kurt's BALLS as I mean the expensive BALLS (1,000/ball) located in the POKeMARTS.

Personally I prefer the QUICK BALLS as they make a fast catch of weak POKeMON I missed on my first travel through of my journey. DUSK BALLS are a close second. They've been used to capture my LAPRAS, Shiny GYARADOS (Scripted) and my RAIKOU. Why? Because I'm a NOCTOWL POKeMON Player.

    (~=w=)~ Oh yeah, POKePUNS ftw.

I didn't really use the custom sold Pokeballs in the departments stores. It's not that I didn't like them, I just prefered to catch Pokemon in normal Pokeballs. I have caught some Pokemon with them, but only for a random capture that I use for trade slaves. Although, I don't buy them, I do have experience using them since every now and then I find a few.

    I laughed at the title!

I liked the way you could catch different kinds of Pokemon, I was lucky enough to catch Lugia with a Dusk Ball rather than catching him the long and hard way with Pokeballs which couldn't catch diddly squat!

I thought this was about Ball Capsules, lol. Anyway I just use normal Pokeballs, I only use expensive balls on Legendaries and Pokemon I'm not going to use.

I use Quick Balls and Dusk Balls most cos they are handy.

I rely on Quick Balls for catching most unevolved Pokemon while Dusk Balls are there if I need to catch something and I'm in a dark place.

Dusk Balls were the only ones I used regularly, as they were very helpful in catching the legendaries who resided in caves. I attempted to use Quick balls on the roaming legendaries, but for me at least they didn't end up working too well for me. Heal Balls look nice but are pretty much moot if you're carrying a full team of six since the new capture will be sent to the PC (and get fully healed anyway...) so I just used the one I was given for free and never bothered to buy any more.

I don't really use other balls much, as I have a strange need for all my pokemon to be in the Red and White, but i find Dusk Balls quite useful for caves and Timer Balls for long battles.

Well I don't use any custom poke balls except the regular ones and ultra balls. :P

I mostly use Poke/Great/Ultra Balls. I use the others too, but only those I find in game. I rarely buy them. Just too much hassle. Ultra Ball is more than enough for most captures. I also like capturing legendary Pokemon in Poke Balls (or maybe I just run out of Ultra Balls and Poke Balls are my last hope XD).

Every single time, I play HGSS. I take the balls to Kurt to they become Pokeballs but then I forget to go back for them on every single playthrough.
But I like using Quick Balls most, especially when I was chaining in platinum

I think Dusk Balls were my most frequently-used, since I usually play at night. I also caught my Lugia in one, 'cause they work in caves too.

Aside from that, I usually just stuck to Ultra Balls because I never remembered that the other ones existed in the stress of trying to catch a Pokémon haha. And, of course, once I used my AR I used Master Balls D:
