    flip's custom trainer sprites!

    I started making custom trainer sprites a while ago... For people on twitter! I did actually make a PC account cuz i wanted to make a place where people could request these sprites. But i actually ended up making this ''shop'' only now. The reason why is that my twitter lately is not really active and i thing that people on the PC would need these sprites more than random people on twitter. Well instructions an examples down bellow! And dont be shy with requesting cuz requests help me to improve!

    May I ask which program you use for this? I know it sounds simple, but paint is one of the best programs to use for spriting trainers and pokemon. I say this because you seem to have made some simple recolouring errors, and paints eraser is a great way to get around those. Try to look at the original sprite if you modify it, because you also have made some shading errors, and the heart on the last guy doesn't follow the rounding in his body at all. Looking at how other trainersprites have those characteristics may help you do them better yourself!
    Also, pay attention to details you're removing. If you look at the for us left arm, it gets unusually thick close to the hand, there was a detail there of which you simply removed the shading and colour, instead of really removing it.

    I know this is a shop and not a gallery but from personal experience, improving is hard if you don't know what your doing. You have a lot of potential though, so keep on improving!

    Tnx for the tips! I dont use paint for making these... i use IsoPix,PST,SBP! ;)
     
    The green sprite in your examples stands out for me, though I'm not sure why. You're good at what you're doing, which is always reassuring to see, but I agree with MorallyIncorrect on some things. Mainly, Paint is probably one of the best and easiest programs to use when it comes to spriting. I haven't done much of it, but I used to do some Macromedia Flash work that involved sprites and I used Paint to create my sprites before importing them into Flash.

    I'll be keeping an eye on this and requesting in the near future. I've always enjoyed your sprite work, stoked that you've opened a shop. Maybe incorporate this into your GFX shop, though? :)

    Tnx! I cant wait when u will request! I will be happy to make a sprite for ya! And BTW could u help me a bit? Well u see... A few days after i opened this i noticed that the overworld trainer sprites that i used as templates are missing!
    So maybe you know where to download a archive with overworld trainer sprites from all gens or at least from gen 3!? If not thats ok too i will just keep trying to find something by myself...
     
    If i can to help u out, i would like to make a requeat for 3 different walking and running Ows. I have the trainer sprites but need ows.

    1. Hair,skin,eye color and style!
    2. Top body : Jacket/shirt/hoodie/etc. color and style
    3. Lower body : Pants/shorts/skirt/etc. color and style
    4. Shoes : Style and color
    5. Extras : Bags/hats/etc.
    6. GENDER!
    Well to be brief i would like OWs based off of the alucard, Ed and Silver sprites I have for my hack.


    U can go here to look at the sprites for the details of the Ed and Alucard sprites. They are the first 2 trainers in the spoiler and they both are in red.


    And for the Silver Ows i already got a front Ow, just need the others. And u can see how its supports to look like.


    I hope these request can help u get better. Also if there is something i missed/ i wasnt clear about that u dont understand let me know. K.

    I will do this when i will finish the previous request! Maybe next week! I hope thats ok... But if you need these sprites in a hurry then i could start making them this week and put the previous request on queque... What do u think?

    Nah finish the other one first :) I would feel bad if you stopped someone elses to do mine :) No rush to do mine

    Top body : Well White Lab Coat
    Lower body : Black Pants
    Shoes : They can be brown
    Extras : SuitCase

    Flip, when you finish a request why not add it to the Custom Trainer Sprite Resource? We're trying to gather work just like this for the collection, and I think your sprites would be a great addition! Just a suggestion. :)
     
    Hey buddy! Gonna drop by and request something because I said I would, plus your sprites are pretty darn cool. :)

    > Skin: Light
    > Eye Colour: Hazel
    > Style: Pokemon Gold style, pleeeeease. <3
    > Upper Body: Blue Hawaiian button up shirt with gold/red flowers.
    > Lower Body: White shorts! They're comfy and easy to wear!
    > Shoes: White thongs/sandals
    > Extras: Backwards hat yo. Blue if possible. Or a sandy brown. Whichever you think suits best.

    I will do this request and it does not sound so undoable tho! But well you probably did notice that i already have to work by two requests and thats why i prob wont finish ur request until middle November... BTW another thing... Do u need all the ows not only the front one? (Like walking,cycling,fishing,etc.)
