Daily Anime Chat Thread

I loved the anime. <3! Hated the movie, though. It sucked. D:
I only liked the first episode of the anime. After that the plot moved too slowly, and kept being retold [annoyed]. It didn't even have an ending.

The movie was better "fanservice."

Oh! I'm sort of watching AIR too. I started watching it over the summer, got two episodes in, and promptly forgot to watch it again. XD

I've already finished watching AIR, I couldn't say I hated it. Short and sweet, and the ending was a little depressing for some, but I'd say it ended quite nicely.

I loved watching AIR TV. It was a lovely anime, I thought and the ending was perfect, in my opinion. The movie was better though. It was more clear and it basically retold the anime, but added more to it and didn't really include the other female characters much.I dunno. I just think anime are better if they didn't have such a perfect ending all the time.

As for what I'm currently watching: Jigoku Shoujo, InuYasha (haven't finished it yet; need about 72 more episodes), Tsukihime, Naruto and BLEACH. I'm really more into finishing Jigoku Shoujo first. It's a pretty good anime even though it doesn't have a real plotline. Ah well, it's unique in its own way. I only watch InuYasha when I'm waiting for Jigoku Shoujo to download, but that's all. I'm not too fond of the anime since it's just really slow for me. As for Tsukihime, I'm gonna start that one after I finish Jigoku Shoujo and I've kind of stopped watching Naruto and BLEACH since the fillers are just not really worth it. I may go back and watch them when I get bored, but that's all.

I finished watching Kannazuki no Miko yesterday and I finished watching Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora (aka: Hantsuki) last week, I think. I think I also finished Fate/Stay Night last month. I definately recommend all three of those anime, but you should look them up to see what they are about before you watch them.

I actually bought some new manga yesterday for my birthday. I got the last two volumes of Kare First Love and it was beautiful. I'm satisfied of how the ending turned out. I got the first three volumes of Chibi Vampire (which is the manga version for the anime: Karin); I've yet to read it. I got the second volume of Tokyo Mew Mew because it was cheap (since it was used) and the first couple of volumes from the original Yuugiou series (the very first one; again, it was used).

True, most of the Air girls were left out in the movie. And yeah, the movie was the whole anime plot plus more romance. :P

Lunar Legend Tsukihime... still gotta watch it. It's sitting in my pile of DVDs somewhere.

Ryan, some good animes are like Haruhi Suzumiya no Yuutsu, NANA, FLCL, those are all short and good, ones comedic, ones romantic, and ones action-ness and comedic, but they are all good animes. x3

I finished watching Haruhi Suzumiya no Yuutsu just now. Before you had reminded me of it, I've already watched 8 episodes. It was a bit confusing when going through each one, as it seemed to skip around a lot, except it wasn't that hard to understand, which is a good thing. Then again, it's pretty natural because it was only 14 episodes all together. The story is fairly original, but there was no real plot. Like most comedy anime, everything happened to be random. Every episode consisted of school-related events.

Thank you for the suggestions, and I'll try out the other two eventually.

Ahh <3 Haruhi Suzumiya's cheerful temper. :P

Say wha? I don't watch too much Anime no more, mainly Bleach, but that's mainstream. I need to dig deeper >__>;

Hmmm...i've never really seen the play, or read the book, but it seems Les Miserables is getting a 52-ep anime, well, apparently sometime this year Romeo and Juliet is also supoed to get an anime, but meh, it'll be interesting...and i heard that the book/play was really good XD

hmm....i'm currently watching Ouran Highschool Host club, and there alot of new series that I started watching, and have just got side-tracked from...I love Ouran though, nothing is strong enough to keep me away from that series... xDD

Kashimasi is good too...I'm watching it as well, and I want to find Kannazuki no Miko..

I wanna watch Death Note though...everyones been talking about it, I just haven't take the time to check it out....*should do that*

Eh, I'd watch Death Note since I really enjoyed the manga, but I'd rather wait till the series finishes.

I don't really like to follow anime series anyway, I tend to get them when they're over, and I only tend to follow manga.

Like, my friend gave me the first 80 eps of Bleach. I watched them, mostly enjoyed them on the whole, but I ain't gonna go out of my way to download every release.

Anywho, lately I've watched ...

Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan
Midori no Hibi
Busou Renkin (Good series)
Tenjou Tenge (manga was more perverted)

Yeah, it ain't all that much, but I've been reading manga more lately.

...

Has anyone heard of Claymore? I can't wait till they produce the anime for that.

<3 = I love.

Oh, Kashimasi, that girl x girl story. It was alright. I've only watched a couple episodes, need to finish that too....

Well, it does get humorous and entertaining, also, the plot blends well into the series instead of gathering more than necessary attention. I'd say it has a better flow than most of the series that are at its size. I'm not really interested in anime that contains romance, it's all the same for me. All in all, it wasn't bad, in my opinion.

I love Death Note... But I'm just never bothered enough to finish reading the manga T-T

Anyway, I don't really watch anime that often. I just recently finished watching FullMetal Alchemist, which was really good. Now, I'm currently watching Law of Ueki and I've just started Bleach. As for manga, I'm reading Naruto, and Death Note, but more of Naruto...

You can just watch the series on Youtube. : D

YouTube has Kannazuki episodes? o___o
Yay! x3 Thanks for the info!
When I first heard about the series early last year, not too many knew what it was, and there were no episodes on YouTube... Good to know thats changed. x3

I'm currently watching Law of Ueki

I finished watching the series, and that only came to be because I noticed you had a theme of the main character in the anime. I decided to give it a try, and it turns out that I enjoyed it.

The zais were pretty original, unlike the plot. Something that didn't make sense to me is that Ueki's opponents all wanted the 'Talent of Blank', and there were no real reasons why they wanted to attain it. There were a few characters that bothered me, mainly Mori and Hideyoshi. I found Hideyoshi to be basically useless throughout the series, but in the last episode I noticed that there was a significance of him being part of the team. I found Mori just as useless, she couldn't provide any real purpose since she didn't even possess an ability (ex: Turning trash into trees). In the end, the Law of Ueki is an underestimated title among shounen anime and needs a few episodes to be seen before judging. I particularly enjoyed reading the manga than watching the anime.

I'm currently watching Fullmetal Alchemist. I just can't find episode 9 on YouTube. Grr.

I was watching Naruto before, but it just got kind of boring IMO.

zomgz its 22sa!

xD Right now Im watching Naruto, mainly, but i have seen a few (like 5 or so) of Full Metal Alchemist, about 4 episodes of One Piece, and 2 episodes of Bleach. Of the 3 minor animes i watch, bleach seems the most appealing >.>
(ryan's gunna shoot me for that..) and One Piece is kinda awkward, but the episodes i watched was something to do with mermen of somesort.. xD
