Daily Anime Chat Thread

*Revives topic*

Haven't seen much anime lately, hopefully I can get myself to finish Infinite Ryvius once, still have to watch quite some episodes but I just couldn't be bothered to watch them. The drawing style of Infinite Ryvius kinda reminds me of Neon Genesis Evangelion...dunno why xP

Been watching Ouran High School Host Club as of late, its fairly good

Gonna move onto Evangelion next because I've been dieing to see it forever

*Revives thread just in time so prevent bump*

Sooooooo I myself am watching Sola and Kaze no Stigma now from the new season, I'll do Hayate no Gotoku! later on ^^

I was watching Busou Renkin, but that finished a while ago, so now I've moved onto Claymore <3

I'm also slowly watching Histories Strongest Disciple Kenichi, but I still haven't bothered to catch up to the episodes yet.

Umm, I also watched Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu after reading the review by digi-kun. Turned out pretty interesting, but I think I need to watch it again to understand it.

It'd be nice to see more reviews being submitted as well aye?

Anywho, I haven't been reading much manga lately. I've just been following series such as One Piece, Fairy Tail, To-LOVE-Ru, Mx0, Tenjou Tenge and some other ones that aren't scanlated all that frequently. That may sound like a lot, but I used to just get my hands on random series and read them in a day or two XD;;;;

Also, I find it odd that scanlations take a while to come out in most cases, yet fansubs are usually right behind the episodes in Japan. Anyone care to explain this? XD;;;

And so yeah, hope you enjoyed the read XD;;

Hmm...I might actually look after some of the anime series Amachi mentioned :0

For now, I'll stick with Sola and obviously, Kaze no Stigma :P

Ikki Tousen: Dragon Destiny: Mix max. fighting and ecchi and this anime will be the result.

And yeah, Kaze no Stigma and Sola seem addictive xP

Sola even got it's own forum at Animesuki so imagine..

Not Dragon Destiny, the first one. I might get the second one late, but apparently it isn't all that good. It carries on, and supposedly it focuses too much on echhi.

I don't see how it's a bad thing though XD;;
Anywho, I only found out about it from an AMV on YouTube, which unfortunately was only half finished.

orly? Damn XD; It won't work to well with my limited bandwidth ;__; Maybe I should just watch them on YouTube?

Though, they are both short series, so we'll see what I do.

But yeah, I don't frequent anime sites and forums all that much, and the only one I do visit is like a portal for every manga series you could possibly imagine. O.O;;

Scanlated, of course. And everything is direct download (from crummy free hosts ;__;). Moreover, they have links to some anime, OST's and other stuff :D

Well, I'm currently watching quite a lot of stuff. ^^; From the Fall 2006 shows, I've finished Yoake Mae Yori Ruriiro na, Code Geass and Kanon. I'm still watching Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge and Nana (which is from Spring 2006) because the subs aren't very frequent. Death Note? I've given up on it... From the Winter 2007 anime, I watched Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora which could have been good if it weren't for the cheesiness.

Now, I'm watching a lot of stuff from the Spring 2007 season and I must say my favourite so far is Hayate no Gotoku followed by El Cazador de la Bruja and a tie between Bokurano and Claymore. ^^;

I read some of the Kanon manga, and I can't say I particularly fancied it. Chances are the anime was different, but yeah. I liked the drawing style though, it was all very cutesy XD

Hayate no Gotoku sounds pretty sweet, so I'll put that on my 'to-get' list XD;

Bukurano sounds alright, but I've never liked the mecha genre.

What do you think of Claymore?

Well, anime like Kanon or AIR are hit or miss. I hate the way the girls were portrayed as if they were retarded (honestly, I have a friend who is a little slow and she acts just like them). The story however is so deep that I found the insensitive me crying on more than 4 occasions. ^^;

It's so funny. ^^ 100 times funnier than Lucky Star. It actually is a parody of shounen manga and anime and is better at it than other anime. Plus, the opening is by KOTOKO and the ending by MELL. What more can one ask?

Well, I am an avid mecha fan and I did not classify Bokurano as totally mecha... The first episode was so original compared to other mecha series that I think it would be a shame if you didn't watch this gem. ^^

I like it very much. It reminded me a bit of D. Gray-Man, but it was far more interesting. I like Clare because it is pretty obvious that she has an interesting past. It might seem like your typical "Monster of the Week" shounen anime, but it is much darker and much better than Naruto or Bleach in my honest opinion. The series' definite plus are the voice talents of Houko Kuwashima and Romi Paku as Clare and Teresa respectively. They are both in my seiyuu top 10 actually with Romi being the number one. ^^;

Claymore is probably good, but the face that woman has in the second episode really scared me off I think xD;; Well if someone could name a good reason to re-watch it I'll do it again

Well, you should at least give one more episode a try and then decide to drop it. ^^ From what I've heard, it gets better later on (not in episode 3 though) and Clare develops as a character. After all, episode 3 will kinda allow you to take a look at a different side of Clare's character... ^^;

Kallen-San who tells me to watch it is a good reason to get back into watching it I think xP

*watches*

I don't know any Japanese musicians ^^; But chances are I'll download the manga when I have the time :D

Trust me, it does get very interesting. I've read what I can of the manga (up to volume 7) and it's been like, awesome the whole way through. So yeah, I'd recommend that you keep watching it.

Hayate: Ummm .... I don't know what types of anime you're into, but there's a lot more action. And I really like the back stories of some of the characters. Oh, and the
Spoiler:

Yeah, Claire's back story is next episode. I remember when I first read it I didn't even realise what was going on XD;;

I'm really looking forward to this. ^^ Clare is one of the best female leads around. She is not the kind of girl/woman that needs to be protected. She seems to be the one that protects actually. ;P

Yeah she's awesome like that. When you finally see her past, you'll realise that she has always been doing that.

It's cause she's a bit more human than the other Claymore's, like with more feeling's and emotions - human traits. I'd say more, but yeah ;)

Also, she has an awesomely large sword. And she's a babe. And she looked totally rockin' in that assassin's outfit thing-a-majig.

... I need to get me the theme songs as well ;;

Then I tink Clare is kinda similar to Saber from F/S N then, except she has a probably more complicated past
