I'm always the leader in my friends group because I'm the most, er.. Aggressive?

XD

I'm a very good follower, when I take charge, everything crumbles.

It crumbles because you don't know what to do?

Or because people don't listen to you?

Probably a little bit of both. >.>

Oh.

Well you should be more headstrong and assertive.

But if you don't really like being the leader type that's fine then.

Just a few tips for leadershipness.

*isn't an expert on leadership*

But you're welcome. XD

It will probably help. I need to be more headstrong.

Definately.

Planning ahead is a good thing to.

But some people are just born leaders, so it's okay if you're not really one.

I can be a leader or follower
I've noticed whenever I play backyard football with friends, I'm always the one calling out plays on defense [Caleb! watch the left-side flat! Michael, drift to center, Jacob, if he cuts take him, if he's straight pass him to me!]
Whereas in other situations I'm much more content to sit and observe rather than to jump in/take charge

See I can't do any of that. I'm a better follower then a leader.

That's okay.

Leaders do need minions. XD

Another part of it is that you don't want to sound bossy all the time. That's a big reason why I don't ALWAYS assume leadership. If there's someone I think is more qualified as a leader at a particular thing, I step back and let them take command....and sometimes I step back even if I should lead out of fear of seeming to selfish, ya know? gotta have some balance

Thanks guys, You make me feel much better about the incident that happened last Friday. I'll try to follow your advise.

Kid, when you are put in charge, is because your group believes you can do the job. As for the selfishness, as long as you feel it's right, you don't worry waht the rest might think.

Glad my advise made you feel better.

XD

At least my nonsense is good for something.

I'm not referring to being PUT in charge. When I am put in charge, I always do my best to fulfill my responsibility
I was referring to the factors that go into assuming charge of a group that has no defined leader

you should still do your best.
STORY TIME!!!!
I mean, look at me. I never led anyone in any situation that had any importance, and one day, while I was at Iraq, the Lt. that was with us got W.I.A., and right there, on that spot, I had to take charge of the whole team. It was stressful, but I did OK.

It is manly to be a leader; thus I attempt to be a leader at all times. Whether I am suited to this role, however, is another matter; I would like to believe that I am manly enough to take it on.

...I've never seen you post here before, JA.

I dont care very much about being a leader. I'll lead when I have to...
