After hopping on the bus, Jake instantly called out his Eevee for some bonding time. It still hadn't been used in any battle, and Jake wanted to learn about it before battling with it.
"Vee!"
"So I can see your are a happy Pokémon at least, what else do you have?" Jake asked Eevee.
First things off, Eevee started nuzzling Jake's neck, in a way that it thought it was his parent. It then followed it by using a Tackle attack on Jake's stomach. He was forced into the bus wall, and he bounced right back up.
"First off Aether: I'm not your daddy. Some other Eevee or one of its evolutions is. Do what you want, just get that through your tiny, adorable skull. Second: for a little fuzzball, you actually have some decent power, which I wasn't expecting at all. This I can work with."
"Ee!! Eevee!!" Aether said happily.
After four hours of traveling, the bus announcer told him that there were about another 6 hours to go. Jake took advantage of this time to bring out Hypnotic and Tactical: After all, they haven't really seen Eevee much at this point."
"Poli!" "Ran! Nido!"
Tactical instantly hopped onto Hypnotic's head, and Aether gave Jake a funny look, although it seemed to give a human equivalent of a giggle at the same time.
"Yeah, I don't get it either..."
After stating this, Hypnotic shot a few small bubbles at Jake's face.
"Yeah yeah yeah, you made your point!"
After another hour, Jake got really bored, and his Pokémon were too.
"How about a little practice with Aether?"
All three shouted happily in unison at the idea: Anything that WASN'T sitting around any longer. After all, it was a pretty big bus, and what harm would come of it?
"Alright, Hypnotic Pound and Tactical Horn Attack. You dodge them both Aether." Jake commanded.
Tactical and Hypnotic came out a high speed, but Aether jumped right out of the way, and doged it with fluidity.
"...Wow...didn't expect that much...Bubble and Poison Sting now. Aether dodge with a Quick Attack, then land a light hit on them."
The Bubble and Poison stings flew quickly at Aether, but it dodged on a bullet via Quick Attack, and hit both Hypnotic and Tactical in the back! And we were all shocked by how fast it zipped around them
"I think that's enough...return you guys." Jake said as red beams shot from their Pokéballs. Anyways, they had arrived at Mt. Moon.
Mt. Moon was already pretty dark at 6:00 PM. The mountains climbed out of sight, the textures were rough, and there were a few hikers attempting to climb their ways over the mountain.
Good luck with that...
After stepping foot off the bus, the first thing Jake did was run to the Pokémon Center to register with Nurse Joy. She had at least seven Chanseys running around with her, and he finally caught her at her desk, free from any work.
"Excuse me Nurse Joy, but I would like to register for the tournament."
"Of course you can! I just need to see a gym badge, as well as your Pokédex and three Pokémon."
Sketchy...
"Here you go...I guess."
"Don't worry about it. The badge is a requirement, your Pokédex is just to show you are a registered training, and I just want to give your Pokémon a quick healing."
"Sounds good."
Five minutes later, Nurse Joy turned back to Jake and said, "Alright, you have passed all of our tests, and you are officially registered for the tournament. Your Eevee, Poliwag, and Nidoran are all set as well. What you have to do now is choose a Pokémon to use in the first round match-ups."
Jake whispered Nurse Joy his choice, as he didn't want anyone to have the slightest advantage over him. He thanked Nurse Joy, and started off.
"Wait Jake, I almost forgot! Here is your card key which grants you access to all of our facilities, and a wristband to show the guards so you face no trouble."
"Thank you Nurse Joy, I think I'm going to head outside for a little while."
Jake stepped outside, and saw all of the trainers running around outside. They were showing off gym badges, flaunting their skills, and having skirmish matches.
Jake walked out into the grass and looked around a bit. After taking in the fresh air, Jake headed into his hotel room. He had had enough that day, and he just needed to rest. His gym battle, his journey over, it had been stressful. After letting all of his Pokémon out of their Pokéballs and onto his bed, he looked at the moon outside, and drifted off to sleep.
