Alex flew by Travis. Travis had wings around the same size as Alex with a similar color. In fact, they did look similar, besides the hair style, clothes, and eye color. However, Travis wore shades, so either way, they did look remotely similar to each other. Alex and Travis touched down at the room of a building, the area was inhabited by quite a bit of larger building, the humans referring to this area as the 'downtown'. Travis looked at Alex, and smiled.
"Twenty of the human dollars says the angels are still at one of the hotels you previously visited." Alex looked at him curiously.
"Well, I doubt they have moved around that much, so it might be true, but what does that matter anyways? It's not like they are our concern, are they?"
Travis had an even bigger grin. "Actually, bro, we did receive additional orders from the top, along with the mission of the heir. We are to silence the two Dark Angels that have turned coat, as well as kill all angels that are with them. Both missions go hand in hand, the heir being the more urgent.
Alex's eyes widened. He didn't think he was prepared for this. The angels were one thing, but having to kill Rikki and Angel was a bit different. They were his comrades, his friends, for a long time. Alex had to accept this, though, no matter how much he didn't want to. He only hoped that they would linger and take a while to be found. But with Travis around now, that wasn't likely. He had the best tracking abilities in the entire Darkness Kingdom, another reason he was assigned to find the heir. He could pick up a trail that has gone cold for years. His eyes were top-notch. His ears were beyond exceptional, and his hunter-like personality formed himself into the cold, ruthless being he was.
Travis looked around and saw something flying next to the largest building there. Travis pointed and said, "Ah, you see? Less than a few hours here an we found one."
Alex had to squint for a moment to try and see what Travis was looking out. How the hell did he see that that far away?, Alex thought to himself. Damn, well so much for taking our time. Alex was prepared to take flight and finish off whoever it was, but Travis put a hand in his way, and shook his head, a grin still on his face. Alex looked at him intently. Travis spoke.
"Not yet, Alex. Let's wait, because soon she will have to go back to the others, leading us straight to the heart of the pack."
And just like that, Alex could see another blur in the sky, landing next to the first. He looked at Travis, who grinned more, but remained, waiting for them to lead them to the others, which he knew they would.
