Who do you these they are? Dawns sisters or somthing?
Let me just tell you guys somthing though, if they turn out to be dawns sisters because dawns never mentioned them and neither has her mom. Her mom doesnt even have either of those two on her wall of photos...

actually, Dawn got the nickname because when she was in Kindergarten, her class had two pets - a Plusle and Minin. One day, she squeezed them too hard, and they both shocked her, leaving her hair standing straight up and sparkling. Her classmates tormented her with the nickname DD after this, because of the noise her hair made.

Oh yea its no possible for people to look alike in the anime and be unrelated -_- Some nurse Joy's are only related to each other because of their supposed husbands. Same with the Jenny's. Then there are all those people Ash has been confused for because they look identical. Come on people think about it: Someone that looks like Dawn doesn't mean they are related or anything.
