Throughout the Johto games, you can find these seven characters known as the Days of the Week Siblings, and as this name implies, they are a group of brothers and sisters that only appear during certain days of the week. If you find them, and it happens to be the correct day, they will give a type enchanting held item, and also ribbons. The ribbons were obviously in generation IV only.

You can find Monica on Monday on Route 40, and she will give you a Sharp Beak. In the remakes, she'll give you an Alert Ribbon, too.

On Tuesday IF you've beaten Falkner, you can find Tuscany on Route 29. She will give you either a Pink Bow or Twistedspoon, depending on which generation you're playing. You can also obtain a shock ribbon from her.

On Wednesday, at the Lake of Rage you can find Wesley. He will give you a Black Belt, and the Downcast Ribbon.

Thursday on Route 36 you will find Arthur, and he will give you a Hard Stone, and Careless Ribbon.

On Friday, you can find Freida on Route 32. She gives out a Poison Barb and a Relax Ribbon.

Saturday leads to Santos in Blackthorn City, if you're playing Generation II Santos will give you a Spell Tag. In Generation IV, he will give you a Soft Sand instead. You also can get a Snooze Ribbon from him.

And finally, you can find Sunny on Sunday on Route 37. He gives you a Magnet and a Smile Ribbon.

Did you bother to search for the Days of the week siblings? I didn't because I always have forgotten this was a thing. I do think I understand why this was in these games, though, it must have been made to take advantage of the real-time clock in the original generation II games... Something I did find, though... did you know these guys have a house on Route 26 & there's a journal there you can read up on these characters? It's very interesting that this was even a thing in the first place for otherwise unimportant NPCs.

I remember finding them all and attaining their special items, although I didn't have a game guide, so I didn't know their locations beforehand. I had to stumble across them by accident, which took a while since I didn't know where to look.
