    So if in a wost case scenario would you rather be deaf or blind? My chose would be rather to be deaf then blind, even though you can't hear what people are saying there is still sign language that can translate what people are saying for you. Plus, you can't go on PC if your blind :3

    Deaf, i know a kid on another forum that 'went' deaf.
    He had some kind of virus in his body that made him go deaf, so he can still talk though.

    I would rather be deaf, because I am a visual artist, and the sounds I heard through my life would still exist through memories. Losing sound is not nearly as bad as losing sight.

    However, not to say that blind people can't be awesome. (STEVIE WONDER, I REFER TO YOU)

    I would rather be deaf, because

    A) I'm a klutz, and not being able to see would just make my health, and the health of the people around me, worse, and

    B) It would be fun not to be able to hear what my parents had to say to me. xD

    I think I'd rather be blind, because I would still want to be able to hear music and movies. I'd also like to still be able to hold conversations and hear what the other person is saying back to me.

    Hmm...blind. Cause I cannot live without music.

    Plus, this girl was blind in my school last year. She was a wrestler. She was better than ALL the boys. They tied bells around her opponents wrist and ankles so she could hear where they were.

    Deaf. I want to play video games and see family!

    Deaf is my choice.
    I would miss listening to music, hearing some certain things, but, I kinda wanna see what's going on, ect. XD Plus; I'm also a visual artist. It'd be pretty hard to draw, paint, ect while I'm blind ... =x

    I prefer to be deaf rather than to be blind. :p

    Blind.

    Because music is basically a huge part of my world, and I'd probably go crazy if I couldn't hear it anymore. Sure, I'd miss seeing things I like to see, but that's a small price to pay. Besides, I could use my imagination to envision things I can't see.

    I prefer deaf.I like music,but I can't live without my vision.

    I'd have to say deaf. I would really, really hate to be unable to listen to music, but at the same time, I really couldn't live without my writing. I know there's ways around this, but I'm a stubborn person at heart, and I'd rather stick to the way things are done now.

    Besides, I probably would be more of a klutz than I am now if I went blind. I hardly pay attention to things as is. XD;

    Deaf. People can't yell at me any more. I can also choose to freely ignore what I like

    I'd go with blind, easily. I'll still be able to write and listen to music, and at the same time it would eliminate me judging people by looks (which I don't really do but in all honesty everybody does it and there's no way to avoid it).

    I've thought about this before, actually. But really, who hasn't?

    I'd much rather be deaf than blind. Between reading text books, taking notes, being online and other daily activities, being deaf would alter my life much less than being blind would. Sure, I wouldn't be able to listen to my favorite music or really continue to pursue my degree in a language, but life wouldn't be so bad. Plus, I'd no longer have to hear my roommate snoring at night. XD;

    I believe I've always picked being deaf over being blind. I'm an avid writer and keep a diary. If I wasn't able to record my life, I'm not sure what I'd do. Plus, I convey my thoughts better simply typing or writing things out. If I had to resort to writing more so than talking, I wouldn't be in a horrid situation. I'd still be able to read and do homework if I was deaf. Yes, you can read when you're blind with Braille, but it would take a long time to develop a sense of security in reading through touch. I would also still like to be able to see what I'm wearing and what I look like. I have trust issues, so I would always believe people that people would be messing with my food or whatever being blind.

    Deafness isn't much better than being blind, considering that I'm a musician, but I think I could overcome lack of hearing with my willpower. Beethoven was able to play and write music without his hearing, so why wouldn't I be able to? I could still read my music and feel the way it's being played, so I think I'd be ok. Also, I believe that a deaf person is a bit more self sufficient than a blind person, so I would still like my independence.
