4th Gen Deceide my starer!

Now that I've finally bought a copy of SS second-hand (it's coming in the mail in a few days) I can't deceide on my starter. So I leave it to you guys to choose!

Totodile. It's a good physical attacker, and it's also good if you don't want to use an HM slave for Surf/Waterfall.

I like Totodile best, but if you want it hard, choose Chikorita. If you want it medium, choose Totodile. If you want it easy, choose Cyndaquil.

Cyndaquil is probably the strongest of them. So it does make things easier. If you go with this, keep smokescreen around for a while, I recommend. It will prove very useful against those pokemon that just wont go down.

He didn't ask for a typing lesson he aksed for advice on his starter. Cyndaquil because there are so few fire pokemon in this game, there are lots of water pokemon and I have pwned my rivals feraligator time and time again(amphros, jolteon) and there are a wide variaty of water pokemon, chickorita because there are so few decent grass types either. So I'd say cyndaqil or chickorita.

They're all good starters, Cyndaquil is probably the strongest starter, Totodile is a good HM slave and a physical attacker and Chikorita can be a great slow tanker when it evolves into Meganium. In my game I originally chose Cyndaquil and then traded over the other 2 starters from my Soul Silver game. I have all final evolutions and it's great! But if you don't have an alternative/backup game where you can trade some of the starters from I'd Suggest Cyndaquil if you want to make the game easy to beat, Totodile for a medium challenge and Chickorita if you want a v=really hard challenge. Have fun and enjoy your game. :)

Cyndaquil...there aren't that many fire pokemon available for awhile. You can get Gyarados which is pretty similar to Feraligatr, and while Meganium is decent Typhlosion is just awesome (Actually I love all three of the starters and their evos xD)

Yeah, we don't really allow 'chose my starter for me!' threads as otherwise everyone would have one, they're short-lived and get spammy (like the 'spelling discussion' here). =| You can also ask for a challenge team in the Challenges forum though (just not only asking on the starter).

It's down to opinion anyways, different people like different ones - I suggest just going for the one you like best. However in terms of 'easyness' at the start of the game, Cyndaquil gives you the best start (earliest evolution, advantage over sprout tower and 2nd gym), totodile is the next, and chikorita is the 'hardest' out of the starters (disadvantages against first and second gym), if that helps. But all are good, really.
