We all know it wasn't included in ORAS and that sucked. So let's make our own. If you could design a facility what would you include?

I would have one where before each battle, a different, randomly selected rule is set each time. For example, Ice-type moves might be banned for one battle, and Hail might be automatically triggered for the next. Or that the first Pokemon in each trainer's team isn't eligible for that battle. Or a facility where trainers are all racing to complete a task and you have to battle each other along the way, or something.

How the hell has this thread not been posted in yet...

My preferred Battle Frontier facility would have nothing to do with the Trainers giving orders at all. The Battle would be based on your Pokemon's nature

Like say, if your Pokemon's personality/IV characteristic is like dozes off a lot, it might use more HP recovery/defensive moves more often than not, or it might be more passive, who knows. That kind of thing. I think the thrill of not knowing exactly what's going to happen in a given match is the best part, though.

That sounds a lot like the Battle Palace, actually. You couldn't give orders - your Pokemon's nature would determine what moves it used in battle. This often made my battles last much longer in there because my Pokemon wouldn't use attacking moves as often as I usually told them to.

That's what made it fun for me, though! I think not knowing exactly what your Pokemon is going to do the next turn is both infuriating and fascinating because you have to trust that your Pokemon's nature is the kind that would let it use more attacking moves over defensive moves or the latter over the former. It truly is a match where every turn counts because of your Pokemon's actions.

    not more metronome battles D:

I kinda liked the battle mall or whatever in HG/SS. Being able to fight the pokemon you want is cool.

Honestly? Just keep it the same as Emerald's. That one was perfect as is, just needs the updated mechanics.
