I have one.

The recycle bin, when I was younger I liked them but now they're just messy.

I haven't come across a program that doesn't go into the quick launch bar... it's basically a shortcut, the same as your desktop...

You could just drag the shortcut from your desktop and put it into the Quick Launch bar. It creates the shortcut automatically for you that way.

I have about 4 icons on my desktop. I usually will use the Quick Launch Bar and click on "Start" to get into my programs and documents. The 4 icons I have is Recycling Bin, My Computer, My Network Places(whatever that is), and a .dll file that I need to keep in my desktop or my display/video card will mess up again. D:

Hmm I have 20 icons on my desktop. They include mirc, firefox, recycle bin (obviously) and the like. I really could get rid of some for instance I haven't used excel since I installed it but it still remains on the desktop. I quite like using windows folder system for everything usually I've just been too lazy to do so lately. So thank you, you've reminded me that a clean up is in order. ^_^

I have roughly 52 icons on my desktop. 90% of them i don't use and also I can't be stuffed to organize my entire computer... so they all migrate to my desktop.

I almost never use my desktop icons, mainly due to the fact I use KDE with the Kickoff menu. So I can just summon the menu, type the name of the application I want to open and it searches for the entry, it filters out the other entries that don't match my search and then I just click on the application I want to launch.
