In the national Pokedex, yes - but we aren't using that. Using the New Pokedex, I will give LaureTheLoner: 9-39, and 100-110.

My probable team with this...
Furret, Raichu, Slowking, Vileplume, Beedrill
I've always wanted to use Slowking so Slowking > Alakazam
Beedrill / Butterfree will probably do more bad than good
But Beedrill > Butterfree
Vileplume > Bellossom
Raichu is in there so I can't go without it lol
Furret is the closest pokémon I can get in the game
It's a fast normal type so I guess it'll do
 
I'd like to do one on Platinum, only restriction being I would like to have a poke before the 1st gym as I'm playing the physical version and can't trade.

Pretty much you're only allowed to use Pokemon which are certain numbers in your Pokedex, so it really limits the freedom in Pokemon that you're allowed to use. I was gonna do it, but I couldn't get a DS emulator working so I could do it, as I really don't want to restart any of my games.
