You should probably put this in Strategies and Movesets.

This question should go in the Simple Q/A thread.

And to answer your question, a lady at the bottom of Pokemon Centers gives you the Pal Pad, not the Pokemart.

i meant pokemon center and i talked to everyone there.

You can gain happiness by spending alot of time with them such as having them in your party, you can also go to the massager house (in Veilstone) and give it a massage. You can also give your pokemon a massage in the Resort area near Route 229.

Yes it does, winning battles, gaining levels, healing them when they need to.

Also, walking 256 steps raises a Pokemon's Happiness too.

That's a random number, and not a signifiant one. I've walked thousands of steps hatching eggs and my poke in the party didnt like me any more than before.

Use vitamins and berries 21-27 for significant boosts.

Actually, 256 steps raises your Pokemon's happiness value by one, and with Soothe Bell equipped, two.
And you don't notice it because your Pokemon's full happiness is 255.
Also, Pokemon in its egg don't raise/lower their happiness yet, and will only do so when hatched.
