Did you make use of Wonder Mail?

In PMD, there was a system known as Wondermail where you could basically type in certain codes to make up your own missions, or get event missions such as a the seven treasures in the second PMD games. You can also use wondermail to spawn in the version exclusive Pokemon.

Did you make use of Wonder Mail in PMD, or do you consider it cheating? I make frequent use of it to spawn in items that I want, ie: warp scarf, rare items. I don't consider it cheating, though. Wonder Mail is in the game, right? So, why not make use of what's there?
