Yes, we had the talk everyday of my life. In Japan it is still very difficult and rare for women to get decent job or even a career. My father was very serious to have it where I was able to have a good job. He'd never buy me games, I'd have to buy them myself, he scolded me for getting anything lower than an A (Excluding English since he was a horrible teacher, had to lean this language myself). He got me to join the School council, etc. He pretty much had my life all planned out. He wasn't giving me the choice to go to college, he ordered me to. He was worried I wouldn't make it in life. I went to college for 3 years in Japan, then I was accepted to Massachusetts Institute of Technology where I'm currently going to in America from something similar to the "Exchange Student" program. I plan to follow through his plan, since I see how rough it really is back home.
