I haven't done any work on this hack in a while. I was mapping out a Pokemon Platinum but ran into trouble when I realized there was no way to program branching evolutions at a certain level while holding a certain item. Seeing this Dracomon here lowkey inspires me to get back into Digimon Adventure TCG and keep working on it haha.

Ironically, even though I'm the one that got PaperFire into rom hacking... he's surpassed me in every way. 🤣 Be it graphics, coding, or even game design, he's better. Not much use I would be to him in a collab.

No worries, at that time I just went for it and assumed you'd be cool with it. "Better to ask for forgiveness than permission" kind of thing. 🤣 Actually I've done the same approach for all of the sprites I use in my games. As long as I credit the spriter on the front page (and in the game itself if I'm able), I assume it's fine. It's been about 3 years and so far no spriter has ever gotten back to me telling me to take them out. So.... I just go with it haha
 
I can tell you both are getting a little excited. I would love to see you guys work on something together. Maybe like a Pokémon vs Digimon (like SVC Card Clash) or even create original concepts altogether. Either way, I'm sure a lot of us would love to see what you guys can do.

I appreciate the interest! But actually I haven't touched it. In fact I haven't done any rom hacking or sprite work for months. It might be fair to say I'm retired now? Even still, never say never. 🤷‍♂️

If there's still an interest, I wouldn't say "retired". More like "on hiatus". But if such is the case, then at least I can still enjoy playing what we got now.

Honestly, I kinda like how the cards look like a kid just put digimon stickers on top of Pokémon cards. (I've been trying to find a way to say that without sounding passive aggressive or condescending).

Haha that's quite literally what I did-- editing the Pokemon out of the cards and pasting a simple Digimon sprite on top of it. I think it has a humble charm to it as well.

It reminds me when Yu-Gi-Oh first came out and everyone wanted a Blue-Eyes White Dragon. I saw a classmate in 4th grade say he totally had one. Turned out he stuck a Blue-Eyes sticker on a Pokémon card.

Thanks so much! That means a lot. I hope I can make something that people will enjoy, despite whatever shortcomings I may have in my programming, spriting, or design.

I'm still totally down to make a hack of the sequel (Here Comes GR!!) once the Disassembly becomes more fleshed out. :)
