    As you can see by the GIF above, Tamers was my favorite Digimon season due to the shift in the story and the darker and maturer theme. In an effort to keep that trend going, I'm looking for a very small group to carry out a Digimon Tamers-esque RP that is story and character focused and not necessarily dedicated to the technicalities of it (we're not going to be doing hit points or experience points; it's all about writing a good story and roleplaying).

    In addition to this, I'm preferring that the Tamers be young adults (20 to 24 years of age) as I think this would allow us to throw in bits of "slice of life" and other young adult drama into the fold as well. This is not going to be little kids thrown into the Digital World; this will be young adults who may have full-time jobs, attend college or university, and have other issues outside of being partnered with a furry companion on the low. So, balancing out all of those troubles plus young adult emotions and responsibilities I think makes this that much more interesting.

    With that being said, here are some things that I am looking for:

    • A very small group of advanced roleplayers. 3 to 5 players max (me included). Anything more than that gets too unpredictable and difficult to control. Within this small group, I may allow for people to play multiple Tamers, NPCs, etc. but it truly depends on you!
    • Diversity amongst characters and ideally roleplayers. I'd like to see balance in genders, race, ethnicity, etc. Let's make it realistic, a'ight? I prefer people to use real-life face claims as it allows for diversity in representation, but it's not a deal breaker. Anime pictures work fine though I will ask if you are against using real-life faces for your character.
    • Consistent posting and communication. I like working with a group of writers who will communicate with me. I'm always available via Discord more so than here!
    • Detailed and vivid writers are a plus. One liners and one paragraphs won't fit with my writing style, honestly. Nothing against those that do, I just love a good story with all the details.
    • This is a mature RP, so themes, cursing, romance (within PC's rules), violence (again, within rules), etc. are all a possibility.
    • I reserve the right to deny a person entry into this RP if I feel that our writing styles don't match. I don't want to waste anyone's time so please respect my decision if I don't accept you!
    That's about it on the logistics of the RP. I don't want to type up too much and intimidate people, but I like to get what I'm looking for across first before going into the meat and potatoes of a specific plot. Let's go on to the plot now, shall we?

    I'm thinking that this particular RP is set in an alternate universe of the actual Digimon anime. Let's face it, most of the seasons are in alternate universes anyway, so let's make our own up. I'll go into more detail about this one as I gather enough interest from partners I feel fit well with me. Anyway, I'm kind of wanting to dive deep into the concept that just because a human is partnered with a Digimon doesn't necessarily mean that he or she will be the most responsible, law-abiding individual. So while the Tamers may mean well, they may run into some issues at some point (whether it be other Digimon or other humans). Likewise, there may be some other humans in the world that have partnered with Digimon that have ulterior motives, especially given the dangerous power that comes with harnessing a Digimon. What do you think is going to happen when that desire for power consumes human nature?

    I'd be down. I admit I don't consider myself really advanced seeing as how I go to RPing to better my writing and whatnot. But I'm willing to give it a shot seeing as how I've recently began to reintroduce myself to digimon.

    Hopefully our writing styles don't clash. If so then oh well. :3

    I greatly prefer RPs with a realistic setting these days, where I can play people with real world problems, relationships and goals. Tamers was always my favorite iteration of the Digimon world and can suit that RP style well, yes.

    We are pretty much always thirsty for Digimon RPs. On our... pokemon forum...... hmm.
     
    Hopefully I'm not breaking any rules by bumping this up, but I am back now (had a long, but for good reason, break). Wanted to know if people would be interested in a mature Digimon RP again? We could move all forms of communication to a Discord server as well so that it's much faster!
     
    It's fine to bump discussion/idea threads like these, especially if you are the OP. If you make another RP, some good advice is to tell your players if you realize that you have to be absent or cancel the RP.
     
    This Digimon RP sounds amazing, in a real life setting, I'm in! I need Digimon in my life! And having a discord serve for this is a good idea, a way for us to communicate outside PC.
    Is the rp going to be similar to the one in the past or made differently?

    It's been a while since I've been here, not to mention how long it has been since I did a RP. Of course I would join this! Honestly, it's also because it's a Digimon RP.
